As a 76 year old great grandmother I needed a powerful battery trimmer and this machine didnot disappoint! By the time I got my old trimmer started I was wore out. This trimmer is the bomb and I get the job done and I can still go on.

This trimmer is heavy and awkward to maneuver, but the worst part is the string. It just doesn't cut my thick bermuda cleanly. It just pushes it to the side without cutting unless you bear down on it, which then cuts it too short. Even then, the cut is uneven and messy. Edging quality is even worse, and despite the thickness of the string, which I think is a big part of the problem, the string is weak and breaks off the first time it hits something solid like the curb or edge of the driveway. Also difficult to edge because the head does not rotate, so you have to turn the whole unit upside down. Since the handle is only one-sided, it makes things tough. I'm sending this one back.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are sorry to hear that you are having this issue. The cord should only be breaking at the tip where the cut-off blade on the guard is. If the trimmer line is breaking in the middle, often this is due to the trimmer being used incorrectly. It is advised to only trim with the tip of the line, avoid stones, walls, and other hard objects. If you are using the side of the line and not the tip to trim, this will cause premature breakage. You may also try rewinding your line with a different trimmer string! There are a variety of string types suitable for a wide array of applications.

We bought this about one month ago to replace another string trimmer. It is so easy to use and lightweight. We have other 60V tools and the batteries are all interchangeable. We have several Greenworks tools and love them all!!
