What a blessing! I can do the weed whacking in my yard with the ease of a lawnmower. I previously owned a gas operated walk behind Weedwhacker, but had to give it up because I couldn’t start it. The battery operated Greenworks Weedwhacker is a miracle worker.

Great piece of equipment

I bought this weed eater one year ago. It has exceeded my expectations. By the time the battery is getting low I am ready for a break. It charges back up quick enough for me. I am well pleased.

Short run time

Like the tools, blower is strong, trimmer works well especially the easy refill of line. Battery life SUCKS. I have to recharge to trimmer and we have a smaller yard, very disappointing
Pros: Quiet

Solid tools, hard working, long lasting

I have been heavily using this trimmer/ edger for 5 years. I don't baby the tool. I use it hard clearing virgin ground along our lake. Bushes and full grown weeds. The edger attachment gets used to cut borders in and around grass and flower beds. When I am replacing some sod, I cut the edge down with this tool. Makes my jobs easier and more efficient. Tool is 60v heavy, but calms down any vibration on my hands. I use a heavier string and heavier edger blades than the tool came with. All my 60v tools get used hard and have manned up to the jobs. Thx Greenworks.

Needs better battery

The design is great but the battery is the Achilles heal. When it works its great. For about 10-15 minutes then the 2.5ah battery dies. Would I recommend this product yes if you only have a very small yard. anything larger you will need a bigger battery. The charge time is also a problem.

Very handy and useful - but I need a part!

I bought this last year for cutting the weeds and grass on our rough ground. Because our ground is very rocky, a bladed mower is always hitting a rock here and there. The string is very adequate for cutting the weeds, and doesn't have the dangers of whacking a big rock unexpectedly with a medal blade whirling at high speeds. The big wheels are nice, the machine is lighter than many mowers, and the weight balanced well over the wheels. The guards work very well. When I use a hand string trimmer i end up with bits of vegetation all over my jeans and even a little on my glasses. With this, I am still clean at the end of the job. The battery will typically allow me to cut for about 45 minutes. It doesn't seem to use both batteries at once, but after depleting the one on the left, will switch to the right, but generally I have to at least stop the mower to get it to switch; sometimes I need to physically removed the depleted battery. I am really bummed that parts are not available. It doesn't get heavy use here - I still have 3 strings left of the pack of strings that came with it, but the bump guard on the head broke completely off yesterday. It appears to have been weakly spot welded into place. I guess I now have to find someone who can weld and do a good job to get that part back on. I can mow without it, but weed stems and grass wrap around the shaft, and I have to turn the mower over periodically and pull all that debris loose. Yesterday, I even got a sizeable piece of gravel up in the sleeve around the shaft, and it made considerable noise. Would be nice to just order the part, take the remainder of the old part off that is held on with a bolt and then bolt the replacement part on.

Cutting head spins in wrong direction

Love the 23' of string this new one will hold. My old trimmer spun clockwise and threw the cutting away from you. This new one spins counterclockwise and throws the cuttings at your legs and makes it harder to cut because you are pushing the head and it is spinning against you. I don't like the rotation of the cutting head.

Love My Greenworks Trimmer

This is a great trimmer. Have had several gas trimmers and this one beats them all. Plenty of power for big jobs. No gas and oil to mix and no fumes.
