Better than Gas

Works just like a gas trimmer. Just as powerful but far quieter. No fussing with spilled fuel. The 60v battery makes the top end a rad heavier but it well balanced.
I would recommend this to a friend!

These have performed better than expected. While my property is only 60' x 100' I can use both the blower and edger on 1 charge. Only issue is the weight of the battery - it is significantly heavier than the 40V.
I plan to buy an hedger and a chainsaw in the near future.

Powerful and quiet

Only used for a few hours now but overall I’m very impressed. It is as powerful as my gas Ryobi string trimmer but very easy to use quiet and low vibration. It is about as heavy as a gas trimmer with a 4 or 5 amp hour installed. Spare battery is recommended if using for an hour plus at a time. String head worked well for loading. I did not experience shutdown issues fro excessive load except when the head became tangled in some landscape fabric. Overall very happy with the purchase. I didn’t think I would be able to completely retire my gas trimmer but it appears to be able to do everything that it could.

Personal responsibility is eliminating your carbon footprint on the planet in areas of your life where you can make decisions. These products are affordable. There is no excuse. Everyone who owns a home should own the Greenworks products. This trimmer eats away at the grass and weeds with ease. Great investment.

Inherent flaw

This is an amazing tool. Unfortunately there is an issue with the trigger mechanism. When changing speeds of the motor it turns off and give an error. Greenworks was super to work with and sent me 3 replacements but they all had the same problem. Finally i gave up and got a full refund. It’s unfortunate because this was a great product. Was sad that it didnt work out. If you decide to buy one try “revving the motor” like you would in a car before a race, and see if it cuts out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
