This trimmer is easy to use and works great. I've used it to take down some tall grass around the house and deck, and also used it to edge my sidewalks and driveway.

The trimmer works better than a gasoline power engine trimmer. It was used one time to trim the yard, and it worked as designed. The battery uses only 1/2 the power indicator for my yard.

I love the Greenworks chainsaw and cultivator, but wish I bought the bigger trimmer. It doesn't feel like the same quality as the other products. I thought I would be fine with the cheaper trimmer, but was wrong. Way to short of line. The handle doesn't tighten well. It is awkward to use. My advise is to buy Greenworks, but not the cheapest of the options. I love the leaf blower. Just like my Geenworks chainsaw, I find myself using more because of the convenience of just popping in a battery and getting the job done.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best trimmer at this price point. With the battery installed and handle set at proper spot for your arm length it is very well balanced. I’ve had a 60v greenworks blower for seven years and the battery is still I perfect working condition.

I purchased this to trim around my house, dog pen, and trees in my yard. It works great! Lighter and more convenient than my gas trimmer, and almost as powerful, I love the two power settings. The lower power setting is great for normal grass trimming and really saves line from breaking. The higher power setting is great for deeper thicker grass and weeds. I still use my gas trimmer for trimming real high weeds. The battery lasts long enough to trim what I mentioned at the beginning of this review.

After years of frustration with messy and unreliable gas engines and wrestling with long extension cords, we purchased our first battery-powered string trimmer and will not being going back to gas or cords! The Greenworks Pro 60V Brushless String Trimmer is elegant, easy to use, and does the job well. After taking the plunge with the string trimmer and being pleased with the results using it twice to trim/edge an ~1//4 acre lawn, we decided replace our gas mower with a Greenworks 60V 17" Brushless Mower, which is also excellent. We give it 4/5 stars because we've only used the tools three times and can't comment about longer-term reliability. That said, the tool(s) feel solid and well-constructed, despite being lightweight and relatively minimalist compared to gas-powered versions. Shipping was fast and assembly was easy. The batteries charge quickly and last long enough to trim/mow an ~1/4 to 1/3 acre lawn one battery, switched between them, leaving another in reserve. We are happy we bought the attachment capable model as we look forward to continuing to add tools on this 60V platform.
