Quick trimming and lasts forever

I love this trimmer! Holds a charge forever on my large property.
Being older with nerve damage in my hand and a very large yard I'm still able to trim my whole fence line and around my long ranch style home and still have 3 bars if I'm slow about it. There is some vibration but all trimmers do. I like that it shuts itself off when it gets snagged on some wonky chain link I've got. I like everything about the trimmer.

Good trimmer but

Great weed eater needs some improvements

I have had this 3 months. Took some getting used to after my gas for 10 yrs...need a smaller shield. The shield is way to big. I know electric but the trigger needs more play..took awhile to find a sweet spot between all on or lowered speeds along fence...also the battery is light but won't do an acre of fence driveway and a dozen trees. I use big heavy one from the mower and do all in one charge...love the power and no gas or pulling cord to start...
Pros: Cost-Saver

Bought 2 years ago (July 2021) for the convenience of the universal "attachment-capable" feature -- and along the way acquired Greenworks blower, Ryobi edger, and TrimmerPlus pole saw attachments. All have worked out very well for me and I've recommended it to several friends.
Pros: Cost-Saver, Easy to Use, Durable, Effective

Defective design

I purchased this string trimmer in 2022. I haven’t never been able to load line into it. I cannot for the life of me push and turn the top bumper to load line. They made it so hard to do. This trimmer is effectively useless to me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sorry to hear about your challenges removing the trimmer head. The method of rewinding the spool is quite simple and straightforward and located inside the owner's manual. See instructions below.
REMOVE EXCESS LINE
1. Push the tabs on the sides of the trimmer head at the same time.
2. Pull and remove the spool cover.
3. Remove any remaining line.
4. Clean dirt and debris from all parts. Replace spool if it is worn or damaged.
5. Align the spool tabs with the tab openings in the base of the spool.
6. Push the spool cover until it clicks into position.
INSTALL THE CUTTING LINE NOTE *Do not put more than 15 feet of cutting line in at a time.
1. Remove the remaining cutting line on the spool.
2. Line up the slots on the spool cover with the slots on the trimmer head.
3. Insert the line into the mounting hole, which is located inside the eyelet. Push the cutting line until it exits the opposite hole.
4. Pull the cutting line through until there is an equal quantity of cutting line on each side.
5. Rotate the spool cover clockwise in the arrow direction to wind the cutting line into the trimmer head. Keep approximately 5 in of cutting line above out of each side of the trimmer head.
REPLACE THE SPOOL
1. Disassemble the trimmer head . Pull and remove the spool cover.
2. Clean dirt and debris from all parts. Replace spool if it is worn or damaged.
3. Loosen the screws. Remove the spool, slot covert, location housing from the spool assembly.
4. Replace with a new spool.
5. Insert the location housing and slot covert onto the spool cover, and then put the spool onto the slot covert to the desired position.
6. Tighten with the screws.
REMOVE THE TRIMMER HEAD
1. Put the metal rod in the specified angle transmission hole to fix the trimmer head.
2. Turn the trimmer head clockwise to loosen it. Do not remove the spacer from the shaft.
ASSEMBLE THE TRIMMER HEAD
1. Put the metal rod in the specified angle transmission hole to fix the trimmer head.
2. Assemble the trimmer head.
3. Turn the trimmer head counterclockwise to tighten it.
4. Remove the metal rod.

CCW spin.. really?

Used this a few times now. Not balanced very well with a 2.5AH battery, most of the weight is in the lower hand. Biggest gripe is it spins CCW instead of CW which for any right handed person ensures you get all debris thrown right into your legs. Walking backwards helps only slightly. And good luck doing vertical edges.

Most straight shaft trimmers spin their string counter clockwise. As a result, when these trimmers are used to trim against a wall, they cut through the grass much more cleanly and efficiently when moved along said wall from right to left. While our string trimmer are not adjustable, for the best control and balance, ensure that you hold the trimmer by both the switch handle and the auxiliary handle. Stand with the cutting head tipped down at an angle in front, guiding the grass trimmer/edger in a semicircular motion around you. If possible, guide the grass trimmer/edger to the left to cut. The line will cut as soon as it leaves the guard, and the clippings are thrown away from you. If the grass trimmer/edger is not cutting correctly, the cutting line may not be feeding properly and it’s possible that the spool just needs to be removed and rewound - this can also affect the balance. works well, but battery doesn't last long

I purchased this a few weeks ago with the 4.0 battery. It requires high power to really cut st. Augustin. Battery lasts only 30 minutes. Might have to return.

Has great stuff!

I bought like a month ago. I had to wait to get the battery. So, on the day of my first use I used it on our "rock garden" which is an area in my back yard that has been needing some TLC. This thing went to town and ate it up! I then used it as an edger and it did extremely well! I normally don't do edging with a string trimmer because the end result is not nery good but this trimmer do an excellent job. This is a well built machine.
I would recommend this to a friend!
