I own 3 of the Greenwoorks 60V products, including the 16-inch string trimmer.. I love everything except for replacing the string trimmer line when it wears out. I see review after review that says the same thing, you would think they would re-design it to make it less frustrating. Even better, do any of the after-market, quick-load spools fit this unit?
I would recommend this to a friend!

The maximum line diameter is no more than .080" in diameter. Information on spool replacement can be found inside your owner's manual. This starts on page 19. Please see link here: https://www.greenworkstools.com/media/documents/ST60L210_E.pdf
If you're planning on rewinding the existing spool yourself, please use trimmer line at .080" in diameter check out this video here: https://www.greenworkstools.com/replacement-string-trimmer-line-160ft
If you wish purchase replacement spool you can purchase them from us at 1-888-909-6757 or from Lowe's and Amazon. Here's the part number or the replacement spool: SB00L00

Very good but.....

A very good product but the accessory tightening screw/bolt easily wears out and the threads are easily stripped. Customer service did send me a replacement and this part is wearing out in a few month's time.
When I mow, I use these attachments every time I mow: blade edger, a blower and the line trimmer. If a person does not use attachments they should not have a problem, otherwise beware. As I wrote, Very good but....

Great trimmer

I'm in my 2nd year with this trimmer. It is light and well balanced. The 16 inch swath is quite adequate along with the .080 line. I haven't had issues with the bump and feed or line replacement. I've previously owned gas and corded trimmers, but the push start and long battery life makes this a winner.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Replacing line has resulted in broken bump/release

I bought this earlier this summer, have only used maybe 10-15 times. The first time I used it the line was out before I even finished my yard and my yard is NOT that large. I replaced the line and moved along thinking it was just a short supply out of the box. I've replaced the line several times since then but I have always had to pull more line out manually....the bump never has worked. Now today I was replacing line again and the plastic piece that holds the line in has broken and now the unit is useless and will need to be replaced/repaired. I love this machine due to the quietness and the light design etc, but for the price I have have paid, now to have a broken unit I am not pleased with it at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love this trimmer. I bought it because I hated all the problems of a gas engine. It is Super lightweight and has great power without hassle of gasoline engine. Easy to start. Variable speeds is a nice feature. Very durable

Replacement for Gas Trimmer

I have always preferred 2 cycle gas to battery due to the power. When my 16 lb Craftsman trimmer needed another overhaul, I decided to research for a better option. The Greenworks 40 and 60 volt line had excellent feedback, so I purchased the pro line 60 volt with the thought of replacing my other 2 cycle lawn care implements going forward. A very good decision! The trimmer is light, well balanced, easy to manuver, and has impressive torque to handle my 1/2 Acre. As long as the battery holds up over time, you have a repeat customer.

Skeptical, but worth it!

I have been having some issues with my 4 year old Echo trimmer and thought maybe I would check out an electric trimmer. I initially bought a "Blue Color" brand from Lowes and it left a lot to be desired. I have modest home and lot, it required a charge in the middle of use. Dissatisfied, I returned it and got the Greenworks trimmer. Charge time was fast and the next weekend I was excited to try it out, which is an odd thing to be excited about. This thing freaking rocks! It has a ton of power, way more than my gas Echo did when new. It chews through pretty thick grass and even light brush. I can do my whole yard and edge with it twice on one charge, maybe even 3 times. I felt like I was going to have to turn my man card in when I bought an electric trimmer, but this thing is the Tesla to the trimmer world. I'm glad I bought it and I may even be buying a lawnmower from them too!
