Great mower

All pros would be compared to the
previous GEN model. It has a Longer shaft and overall length. It has better balanced with the battery fixated vertically. The easy feed head works by inserting the string through the eyelet and then turn the knob. I manly use the low speed but on high is where it shines on 3 foot wheat growing on my second lot. The 2ah high capacity battery is enough to trim a 500 feet of bedding and concrete. I would recommend the 5ah battery if you are going to clear a full 1/4 acre lot or have a large yard. IMO I prefer the trimmer due to its longer length and easy feed head I'm 6ft on the dot and don't have to stoop over like I did with the previous GEN modle. As for durability it's a solid feeling and for longevity only time will tell.

Thanks for this opportunity! I purchased a display Greenworks 60V String Trimmer because that was the last one in the store! When I returned home and opened head, there was no spool or string, so I had to order a spool! I am very pleased with my purchase and I would do it again. If Greenworks made an edger I would be in the market for one! Thanks for letting me spill my thoughts!

Great trimmer

I just purchased this today and love it. I used it for over an hour. Ihas more power then my gas power stihl. My wife loves it because of its weight and ease to use. No more missing gas.

Worst String Trimmer

I've had this about a year and hate it. I have the 60v chainsaw, blower, lawn mower which I love. The worst thing about this tool is the line feeder. It's constantly breaking the line inside the hub which makes you stop every few minutes to remove and rewind.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello There
Generally, when this happens it usually the line is wound incorrectly. Please see the instructions for rewinding the string on to the spool. 1. Press the tabs simultaneously on the side of the trimmer head and remove cover and spool. 2. Remove any remaining line. 3. Clean dirt and debris from all parts. Replace spool if it is worn or damaged. 4. Replace with a pre-wound 6. Bend the line at the midpoint and insert the bend into the slot in the center rim of the spool. Ensure line snaps into position in the slot. 7. With your finger between the lines, wrap the lines evenly and firmly around the spool in a clockwise direction. 8. Position the lines in the guide slots. 9. Place the spool in the cover as shown below 10. Insert the ends of the lines through the line exit holes in the sides of the cover. 11. Reinstall the spool and cover onto the trimmer head. Push until cover snaps into place.

Solved a problem

When I first got the Greenworks trimmer I wanted to smash it in the street, because used it for edging along the curb the string always broke, and it broke inside the string housing. Then, when I opened the housing the string would spring out and I'd have to rewind it; this was just to do 50 feet of edging. I wondered if it was because the speed trigger was so hard to control, the slightest pressure would cause it to rotate at a very high speed. I decided to drill a hole in the trigger and put a screw in it that I could adjust; the string hasn't broken one time, after many uses, since adding the screw.

Surprising!

WE bought the 13 inch version of the 60V trimmer for my wife to use. IT was cheaper and quite frankly i was concerned about the power and figured shorter string would be better. Well i was wrong, the 13 inch version of this has plenty of power. I wished I had bought this 16 now. I put it together in minutes. On first charge it ran an hour on "high" speed. IT has plenty of power for normal use. I ran it through some extra thick stuff and it struggled a little but it still had the string that came with it on it. This is perfect for what we bought it for. I rated the Durability of 3 because we haven't had it long enough to judge it yet.

I bought this string trimmer to replace a gas trimmer. I could not be more happier with the power of the 60v. I wack them weeds and edge my entire yard in one charge. Fantastic product! I'm looking to go GREEN(works) and convert all my gas lawn equipment! Cheers!
