I grew up using a gas powered string trimmer, and this electric one is much easier to use. I already had the 60v mower with a battery, so I was happy to order this compatible string trimmer. I’ve only used it a couple times, but everything seems to be working well.

It took a long time for my order to arrive - close to 30 days. Once it came I had a dickens of a time getting the spool installed. Was not a smooth process. Moving forward, I will purchase my own string and re-spool the empty spool myself.

Powerfull Tool

After gas trimmer broke decided to try battery power. I had my feelings if this would be able to do the same job as my 31cc gas power trimmer on my 1 acre property. After looking at reviews I decided on Greenworks, I already own one of thier pressure washer and have had no problems. I have used this trimmer three times and has worked excellent. The last time using it on grass and weeds that were about a foot high. I cleared the stip that is about 50 ft long with no problem. It is the first time I used the high setting and I trimmed this area for about 20 minutes. Then trimmed on low for about another 10 minutes, the battery never died.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Just bought this trimmer because I didn't want to bother with a gas one. I got tired of lugging my cord around the property to trim. I have to say I am impressed with the performance. It does what it says it does. My only negative is the run time. I have an acre of land and it last just enough to trim the large front yard. I think that I would benefit from having a higher Amp battery. Will consider buying a back up battery to finish the rest of the acre. Overall, I do recommend this trimmer

tough to restring

I am very disappointed in this trimmer. The spool is so difficlut to use I have already gone through 2 spools and will throw this in the garbage and go to another manufacturer. do not buy this unless you are already familiar on how to reload the spool, it is a joke.

Thank you for your feedback. Sorry to hear of the challenges you are experiencing with your trimmer and spool. To rewind the existing spool with more line, please refer to your owner's manual. There will be an instructional guide inside your manual.
1. Press the tabs simultaneously on the side of the trimmer head and remove cover and spool.
2. Remove any remaining line.
3. Clean dirt and debris from all parts. Replace spool if it is worn or damaged.
4. Replace with a pre-wound spool, or replace line using 25 feet (8 meters) of 0.080 inch (2.0 mm) diameter line.
If you have tried this suggestion and are still experiencing an issue, kindly contact GreenWorks at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS) or by email on info@greenworkstools.comfor further assistance.

I bought this a few days ago and could not be happier! Easy to set up, light weight, gas free, and runs great! Lasts as long as I need it to with the 60 V battery.
