I have many areas that I wanted to trim that are located far from an electrical outlet and I was tired of dragging 200 feet of cord around bushes and then having my corded trimmer run slower. I have a 60 V lawnmower and chain saw so decided to add the string trimmer. I was pleased that it was relatively light and well balanced. I was absolutely amazed at how powerful it is. I now can walk my yard and in half the time trim around all my landscape ties and trees. I can also now reach along the curb and get that desired well trimmed lawn. Thanks

I recently upgraded all of my yard tools to the Greenworks 60v system. The decision was really drive by the 25” mower and I also have the blower and hedge trimmer.
This is a very basic trimmer. I need two 2 AHr batteries to trim my 1/2 acre yard. The trimmer is heave and doesn’t offer much handle placement adjustment and doesn’t have a shoulder strap. It is listed as a 13” trimmer, but comes set at 11”, which was worthless.
It functions fine, but my decision was really based off the mower being my priority tool.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Coming from a traditional gas trimmer I am still getting used to working with this 60V trimmer. It is light and able to get into tight corners. I am particularly impressed wit the power and life of the battery. Charging is quick and I have been able to edge and trim my average sized garden two times on one charge and still have 2 lights on the battery indicator.

Head is flawed,parts wear too fast

Trimmer worked really well for a couple uses, I then noticed when I bump on the grass the line wouldn't come out, apparently the bump heads wear incredibly fast, bump heads seem to be out of stock and no universal replacement heads seem to fit these units
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love this more than my wife

Had trimmer for over 3 months now and it is still much better than my other petrol and battery trimmers. The others have features that are still work keeping them around for (split shaft/telescoping shaft), but for pure trimming this is hard to beat. This thing is powerful and runs forever.

Just the right amount of power.

Bought this trimmer as I'm updating all the tools in my garage. I shopped around a lot trying to find the right voltage, since I've only owned gas machines before. I really think the 60 volt is just right. It's powerful enough to do my usual trimming but also doubles up as an edger. I've cleared some brush with it too, no problem. I can't imagine needing anymore power, and mostly use the lower speed on this machine as it is. I did run out of battery power with it a few times, but just popped in one of the other batteries from my other 60 volt tools and kept on going. I own a mower, blower, trimmer, and pressure washer. Since they're all the same voltage (60) I can swap batteries between the tools as needed, making things super convenient. Definitely consider doing the same if you're purchasing more than one tool.

Great trimmer! It took forever to determine the differences between this and similar models of what could be the same trimmer for varying prices.. Those two key differences is the fact that this has a brushless motor, and does not have the variable speed trigger, though it does have a minute variable speed switch. It performs very well and the battery is more than adequate for my yard. The charger is designed to be wall mounted, but I give the mounting capabilities a 2 out of 5 stars since as I go to remove the battery from the charger, the charger wants to lift from the wall as well.. I really like my sitting charger that was included with my mower better. This wall charger has a bit of coil whine also.. Not very cool.

Weedeater head has design flaw

The head with the plastic string feed feature is a failure point. I have owned for 3 years and have had to have replaced at the end of every summer. It wears away and spring pops out. At least the company has a warranty and replaces for free. But otherwise, it operates quietly and I like the fact that you don't need to mess with gas, 2 cycle fuel, etc.
