Ryobi universal attachment does not work

Like another post I purchased to use with a Ryobi universal attachment and it does not work with my Greenworks edger. It starts and then dies after about 2 seconds. I have rechecked the connections several times.
Very annoying because I also purchased the Greenworks unit specifically because of its advertised ability to work with the Ryobi attachments.

Easy to assemble and use. The 13” Cordless unit does a good job, and the 2Ah battery is sufficient to handle my yard, about 20 minutes of run time.

I was hesitant to buy an electric trimmer. I didn't think I would be able to do my whole yard. Turns out I ran out of string before I ran out of battery and it worked better than any gas trimmer I have used. Great product!

I bought this for my wife, and yes she did ask for it. It goes along with her 60v blower. She loves them and with having 2 batteries and 2 chargers, she is never bogged down. I have a gas trimmer and a back pack blower because we have 4 1/2 ac. But she uses hers in her large gardens and plantings.
