Upper plate not locking into place.

Despite my best attempts, the upper plate is not locking into place. I believe I am following the manufacturer's instructions because the lower plate is not problematic. The upper plate is easily pulled out without pressing the release button and completely falls out if I attempt to close the lid.

Excellent Investment! One of the best waffle irons ever!

Krups needs to make other variations of the die cast plates so that this can be used to grill burgers, as a panini press, and so on.
