Just what I expected. I've been using Garmin watches for 10 years and they always deliver. I would like to see a Fenix Pro not designed for inreach/lte so it can be thinner.
Four weeks using my Fenix 9 47mm Amoled into my daily workouts and life and I am quite happy with its brightness and its readability, I bought it as a solution for my presbyopia and it works. I am happy with it. Battery life is shorter than expected, shorter than my Forerunner 970, but since I don't do any longer than usual events it hasn't bothered me.
Love it after owning a Fenix 5 and and Epix two the last 8-9 years. Feels premium, software is a huge upgrade and the graphics are much improved all over including the apps.
I upgraded one month ago from Fenix 7 Pro. From the start it was a disappointment because of the incredible slow interface and lag ! One month later it's still not fixed. Additionally the only thing that "pushed me over" to spend the insane amount of money was the new ArcheryX function. But nowhere in the specs it is written that it's only for l compound. I have written several times to support and still no answer !
Bought this a month ago and was deciding between Apple Ultra 4 and Phoenix 9. I am so glad I went with Garmin Phoenix because it focuses more on the activities that I like, such as hiking and all the different exercises, and crunching the data in a detailed and meaningful way, which Garmin has much experience with outdoor activities. For instance, altitude is an important function for me in my hiking in the Sierra Nevada mountains, and the Apple Ultra 4 did not even have an integrated standalone altitude function. The AMOLED display is great, and the map function is fantastic. I can literally tell where I am at any given time.
