We love this. Have only used the dethatching part of it so far, will aerate the grass this fall, but it is nice because it picks up the grass in the nice in the bag. We love using it and we think it helped our lawn to be as healthy as it is this year.

Westinghouse 16" Aerator Dethatcher

I recently bought this Dethacher/ Areator. It is a 16" Westinghouse. I will not do a full job until water restrictions are lifted in September. I did a test run on about 20 feet or so. It seems to work really well.

Lightweight unit has a lot of power

I bought this unit to help restore what was a field to become a lawn. The area had become overrun with weeds and I needed to de-thatch the dead crabgrass and other weeds that died from the herbicide. I started wit the de-thatching blade and then switched to the aerator blade. I had to do frequent stops to empty the basket but in a way that was okay because the basket was manageable to lift, carry, and dump into a lawn bag. The unit is light weight and assembled without any tools required. The designers were clever about using cam locking levers. I would buy this again.
