I had nothing of importance to say about the Lenovo's sales procedures or the quality of the Legion computer. What should be addressed is related to making the computer functional. The first difficulty in accomplishing that goal was overcoming the dominance of the touch plate. It took two days to figure out that I needed a mouse and had to find a way to turn off the touch plate. Then the problems of the Windows 11 system came into full view. Microsoft wants everything to be stored in the Cloud. I bought a computer with 1T bytes of memory to be able to have my files stored on my computer. I bought a computer with many connectors to be able to move things from my previous computers to the Legion computer. The File Explorer mostly ignores the need for accessibility to local files. Another issue was incompatibility of connectors to older plugs. That problem was solved with the USB-C 7-in-1 Hub. Importing files has been awkward because of biases in Windows 11. It was necessary to create a home network to connect a laser printer. I am now looking at X-Y plotters to support my research. Setting up the Legion computer has been a challenge. None of the problems have been blamed on Lenovo.

Wireless. Outstanding performance. Great graphics. Solid build quality. When this model is on sale for less than $2k its a steal
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the Lenovo Legion 5i Gen 9 Intel laptop with RTX 4070 for a few weeks now, and I'm blown away by its performance! This laptop is a beast when it comes to gaming, with the RTX 4070 handling even the most demanding games with ease.
The display is stunning, with vibrant colors and a fast refresh rate that makes for a seamless gaming experience. The keyboard is also top-notch, with customizable backlighting and a responsive feel that's perfect for long gaming sessions.
But what really impresses me is the laptop's cooling system. Even during intense gaming sessions, the laptop stays cool and quiet, with minimal fan noise.
Overall, I'm thoroughly impressed with the Lenovo Legion 5i Gen 9 Intel laptop with RTX 4070. It's a powerhouse of a machine that's perfect for gamers and content creators alike. Highly recommended!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to get this laptop... But now I am frustrated with the purchase because Lenovo removed the right side CTRL button and replaced it with an utterly unwanted "AI-COPILOT" button. Luckily, through great trial and tribulation and dedication, I was able to remap the button to being another key that would work with my game. I legitimately almost returned it based on this feature alone because that button is HUGE for my gameplay and engineering software usage. Additionally, the RGB lighting keyboard is mildly customizable through Lenovo's Vantage software. There's a youtube video out there stating that you would use Corsair's "ICUE" software but that does not work unless you have upgraded your keyboard to be the Corsair recognizeable device..
Lenovo doesn't specify these requirements anywhere. Honestly, I thought highly of Lenovo and I wanted to give 100% 5 stars but now I am reconsidering my compliments because I am not very satisfied with my purchase but because of the hassel I'd have to go through I can deal with it for now. I will be looking to purchase a different brand later. I WOULD NOT recommend this laptop if you use that right side CTRL button heavily and want to customize your RGB lighting to precisely the way you want it..
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Extremely capable and great for travel. I bought this for the purpose of gaming when traveling and as an alternative for when I need a PC instead of a Mac. The i7/4060 combo along with the screen's attributes have been plenty for my purposes and give me a fully fledged gaming experience while traveling. Paired with the deals from this holiday season, I have yet to see a comparable value anywhere on the market.
