(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This machine's performance is good enough for my needs (daily use, music engraving software, basic work in DAW). However, it gets quite hot even when using the balanced power mode. Another drawback is that the lid does not seem sturdy and gets dirty quite easily. Battery life is about 5 hours with normal use.

My only gripe is that by only having one thunderbolt port it can be difficult to use high performance devices while also charging, requiring the use of a dock.
