(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This is such a great laptop for business. It has such great speed and compatibility. It also is so thin, light and easy to travel with. Definitely recommend.
Very fast and well built however who ever decided to incorporate the thunderbolt port into a charging port was obviously on something. You must disconnect the power source to use the port for Thunderbolt. Even the cheap laptops dont do this. They have a seperate port for charging and one for Thunderbolt. The E15 Gen 2 with the 11th gen i7 is exception except for this screw upl.

Well I've had my new Thinkpad E15 gen 2 for about a week now and I'm quite pleased with my purchase. The i7 1165G7 is quite fast and the machine's build is high quality. Great keyboard, backlighting is a nice feature and pleasant feel when typing. Minor concerns are that battery life seems to be a little on the short side, and while thunderbolt charging is quite fast, the port itself doesn't inspire confidence for longevity (hoping to be proven wrong!). So let's call it 5 stars with 1 small reservation. Great machine!
1. Command line couldn’t be executed for an unknown reason. I use this on a daily basis to program my code. I had to reinstall the entire software and Windows itself to work properly. 2. Laptop suddenly turned off while I was taking exam. Took me a long email to writer to my instructor why I need to take the exam again. Gave me 2 days of heart attack, headache and long long days of writing an explanation of what happened. 3. Finger scan for logging in is useless. 90% of the time finger scan doesn’t work so I need to manually insert my password when logging in. 4. Trackpad acting weirdly somedays. Doesn’t detect my finger when I’m literally moving my finger on the pad.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
