Don't buy it. There's no customer support for this device and the Internet has been useless. Neither this one or the 4K will connect to the mobile app. Abosolute TRASH
I have been a Roku user for 9 years. My oldest one works perfect. I bought a new roku last year and it worked for about a month. Now another new one arrived today and it won’t power on. All is connected properly. Tried both tvs but nothing. Reconnected old Roku and it works perfectly. Website offers links but the links lead to ads. It is useless for support!
Been having issues for months where in the middle of watching games the content just cuts out. I’ve followed a multitude of online guides for resolving these issues but nothing has worked.

Hi Mike, this does not sound like typical behavior and we'd like to help. Is this only happening on one channel?
It's difficult to determine the cause of this error without learning more. Sometimes, performing a system restart on the player can resolve this. Other times, you might need to uninstall and reinstall the affected channels, check the status of your wireless connection, or contact the channel's service provider.
Our Support site has a robust FAQ article that may help, too. Learn more: https://support.roku.com/article/208755548. If your issue continues, please contact us directly at support.roku.com/contactus so that we can assist.
We have 2 Express and one Ultra. The Express models seem to get too hot and when that happens the WiFi gets flakey and they die. Had one suddenly show marginal signals from my router only 10 feet away and line of sight! Still streams but when I used it on a TV farther away from the router (and where it had been working fine until recently...), it shows no signal and refuses to connect. Same thing happened to a previous Roku model we had (pre-Express I think).
I purchased the Roku Express almost a month ago. It worked great for three days, now I have to constantly reconnect to my wifi network before I can watch anything or reset the box every couple of hours because it stops working. I only bought the Roku Express because my Roku TV quit supporting my wifi network and I couldn't find another Roku TV I could afford.

Hi there, thanks for taking a moment to share your feedback with us. WiFi signal strength can vary due to factors and we're here to help!
Other devices currently accessing the network, such as other streaming players, computers, game consoles, and mobile devices may effect the quality of your network connection. You might want to temporarily stop using any such device and check if that makes a difference.
If you're continuing to have troubles, please reference our helpful FAQ article: http://go.roku.com/connectivity or reach out to us directly and we'd be happy to troubleshoot with you at support.roku.com/contact.
I own 5 Roku Expresses and generally like them. The first I bought for an old tv to make it a smart tv and it worked great. Now replacing that Roku with a new Roku Express (my dog ate my original) I cannot install it. The instructions state to go to website for tips. I did and what I found was just ads for Roku. Not helpful at all.
This is about the 4th or 5th Roku Express I've purchased but the first to NOT INCLUDE A USB WALL PLUG. That means when you are setting it up, if you are not prepared, you will have to locate one on your own. Roku is a great product. No longer including the USB wall plug AND NOT making that clear anywhere on the package? Disappointing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hi Barry, thanks for your review! We appreciate you being an avid Roku customer and will be sure to pass your feedback along to our team.
Please know that customers can use the included power cable to connect the Roku Express to the USB port on the TV. This usually will provide sufficient power to your device. However, if you'd prefer to plug it into a wall outlet as you mentioned, grab any standard USB adaptor that you have at your house, (like your phone charger cube) and you'll be ready to go.
Thanks again for your feedback and Happy Streaming! Roku Customer Advocate
