I replaced my previous Dyson, which I loved. I cannot use this one as easily. I have to pick it up and carry with two hands like a Tommy Gun. I mostly use the hand held for quick clean up and dusting. I cannot use it with just one hand. I live in a small condo and don't have a wall for the mount, so I store is under my bed plugged in. So it's even harder to get out than my earlier model. It's a bit of a burden, really.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazing lightweight design and performance

I reluctantly bought this, (price seemed a little high) and after first use I realized it is worth every penny. Before it's first use, we vacuumed with what has been a very good vacuum and then thoroughly shampooed the carpets. Tons of dog hair with both steps. The next day I used the new Dyson and was shocked at how much dog hair it picked up. After years of managing hotels I've seen the good, bad & ugly in vacuums. This one is better than most of the commercial level vacuums. Do watch the discharge chamber; full is half way up the cylinder not the top. Saw this in another review before I purchased it and once you use it it will make sense.

I bought this close to one month ago and I just got the replacement main body and bin that was stuck together after our first I send unable to slide open. This is my fourth Dyson over the years and it’s the most disappointing that I purchased.
