Thank you for your review on the 413023 range hood. This hood is a non-ducted only model and does not exhaust any air to the outside. It will recirculate the air/smoke/odors from the cook top, through the non-ducted filters and back into the room. This model is also available in stainless steel using model number 413004. We recently replaced a 24 year old Broan model just like this one. We have been happy with both. Although there are no fancy features on this model it looks great and does what it is designed to do very well.

We added this range hood when we got a stainless steel and black gas stove, replacing a cream-colored range hood. It gives plenty of light, and the fan works well. The only negative is that the fan is pretty loud, and I'm always relieved when I can turn it off. Overall, I'd probably give it a 4.5, if I could. Great value.

For a non-ducted fan, it does a pretty good job of exhausting. I usually need to have it on high since the low speed is really too low to do much since the air is barely moving. Even on high, it is a pretty quiet fan.

When I replaced my 30+ year old white electric range with a new black one, I wanted to change my white range hood for a matching black one.
My condo is approximately 30 years old and was built without outside venting over the stove so I needed a non-ducted range hood. After an exhaustive search (pardon the pun) I finally located this Broan range hood in black. It is essentially an updated version of the 30 year old model.
I had it installed professionally but watched the installation and could probably have done it myself. Very easy and quick.
The fan in the updated model is not quite as powerful as the old one, but it still does a very good job of clearing up any smoke or cooking odors in my kitchen. It is fairly quiet, even on the higher speed.
I would recommend this to a friend!
