About 400-500 more bricks than Disney World Castle
on October 3, 2023

This kit is a bigger than the first one, but is essentially a bigger clone.
This castle is from Disneyland Anaheim park, also known as "Sleeping Beauties Castle". The previous iteration was Cinderella Castle in Walt Disney World, Orlando. I have both sets, and the reason for doing this is so that I can connect both (like the modular Ninjago City sets). The only issue I had was that the first castle was part of the lower 4000 piece club, while this one is the higher 4000 piece club, so I had to get some matching brinks and had to essentially lift the castle walls and turrets up off the foundation and place some bricks. The main castle spire also posed some issues as Sleeping Beauties castle is again, taller. That's where the remaining bricks went to. It was a great build, and of course you will want to place connector bricks at the very bottom of each column (4 on WDW castle, 4 on Disneyland castle), alongside of course using connector tubes. Do not install either spire until you have connected both to one another because if you bump the spire off one or both, well you will have a happy accident on your side. Once installed make sure the top of the spires are the same height, and if so, finish building the flagpole.
Now what about the drawbridge doors, you're asking. Well you have a choice. If you want to pay homage and have an accurate full castle, you have two choices, either you can make it to where both drawbridge doors on each kit swing to the exterior, or, you can permanently remove said brown doors on one of the kits and using matching bricks, you can build yourself a wall, which is what I ended up doing as I am still trying to figure out how to make the doors swing outward without clipping, or they could attach themselves to the rear of the moat bridge.

Disney Castle

Unbelievable set. My daughter was thrilled upon rpping off the wrapping paper. We built for five nights, before books and bedtime, as we call it, with the end result being truly amazing! Incorporating older to more new Disney themes, this set has it all! Wonderful mantle piece, with child playability as well. Highly recommend this set to any parent with child who is a fan of Disney films. And on a side note, being 47, I loved this build as well. Great job Lego!

Loved it!

I love the set! I built it one bag at a time so it took me 25 days. My only complaint is if you need to move it. The pink part on the castle fell off mine when I moved it from the table to a shelf. I finished it the night before so the fact that it broke was awful. Use caution when moving. All the details are amazing! I wish I had the last castle so I could put them side by side. Lego, when are you giving us a set for EPCOT's Spaceship Earth? These two icons need to be next to each other!

Amazing

Love this set! I enjoyed the building process, as it was a distraction from stress. Can't wait for my next set! My ONLY suggestion would be to add Tinker Bell! When I see the castle and the fireworks I immediately think about Tinker Bell flying from the castle at Disney World. Other than that, amazing details!

Why go to Disney Land… When you can build it?

This set was fun and satisfying to build, the mini figures boost the aesthetic of the set extremely well, and the instructions were very clear. If you’re a fan of classic Disney, then I would totally recommend this set.

Awesome set!!

Got this for me and my Disney-loving hubby to do together. It was so much fun! A lot of variety which I do appreciate. Great little touches and Easter eggs. A tiny complaint was that it was sometimes hard to tell when to use pink vs gold pieces. But honestly it was a great experience and we have it now prominently displayed in our house.

I bought this as a gift for my wife. I build the sets and she displays them. The set was a nice way of spending a few nights. Pretty easy build and lots of fun. She would come in a play with the mini figures while I was building lol. It was a nice addition to her lego displays in her office

It's ok. It is overpriced though like everything else lego produces currently.
