Slightly Frustrating Experience

I am a huge Lego fan and got the OG Castle when I was turning 12, so this was very full circle moment getting this one as I am about to turn 20. I have been building for many years and never had as much trouble with a set. My first set to have issues is the Titanic last year where I was given two of the same piece so I had to go through the process of getting the missing one.
For the castle, I had several missing pieces. For most of them, I ended up having extra pieces of ones I did not need anymore for that bags instructions, so I had to create my own pieces with spares I already own. And some of the rest were just missing, no accidental extras. Once again, I had to substitute with my own pieces. Then my book 2 had a TERRIBLE misprint, it went back at least 30 steps and then when I was caught up, I had missed out on 2 bags worth of instruction. I had to pull up the website to get those missing steps.
I have never had a set give me so much trouble and it truly frustrated me because I have been wanting this set for a long time and so I was excited to get it before retirement.
I would recommend this to a friend!

So much fun

This was probably the most fun I've had with a build in a long time! I loved all of the easter eggs and it was so easy to build too! It took me about a day from start to finish and I highly recommend this set for any Disney fan!

I missed out on the last Disney Castle set (71040) a few years ago, but luckily I was able to get this one that was initially meant to celebrate Disney's 100th, and this has to be one of the best sets I've ever gotten to build. The attention to detail on the front and inside of the castle is miraculous. As with the minifigures, while it would've been nice to also include Mickey Mouse and co. to go with it, the inclusion of some of the prince and princesses were also a nice bonus.
The highlight for me was expanding on the set itself for a full display after completing it. In my case, for photo purposes, I included the Celebration Train (43212), the TV from the Animation Scenes set (40774), Tinker Bell flying around the inner part of the cadtle with her wand, and made a platform showing off most of my other Disney and Disney-affiliated (i.e. Star Wars, Bluey) minifigures from other sets, including Walt himself from the Disney Tribute Camera set (43230).
All in all, this set is a must for Disney fans, and also for movie lovers everywhere!

The new Disney Castle LEGO set is an amazing build that’s full of fun and charm. The colors are bright, the design is detailed, and there are lots of small touches that remind you of classic Disney movies. Building it is easy to enjoy, with clear steps and a satisfying finish. The included minifigures, like Mickey, Minnie, and the princesses, make it even better. When it’s done, the castle looks beautiful and feels like a real piece of Disney magic you can keep at home.

We got this set for Christmas and spent three days building it. It was a challenging set to build but we had fun doing it. It is also fun to play with and display. Everyone that comes to our house comments about how cool this set is.
