Handles Melt

We are using these in an apartment community and have had several handles melt or crack. They are installed giving 20" + from the range top to the bottom of the microwave. When we questioned what was happening we were advised that we needed to have a 30" gap instead which if done that way a normal person of average height would not be able to use without a stool. My research on the installation has yielded that they can be mounted 15" to 27" from the stove top. I measured my own at home which I have had for 10 years and it is 15" away from the stove top and I have never had a problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I Got A Good One!

I am very happy with my Frigidaire over-the-range microwave.
I had it about 5 months and so far no problems. Yes it is early in but I am looking at this as a positive purchase. I have a Frigidaire Refigerator had it for 8 years and that is what convinced me to continue to buy Frigidire product's and the price wasn't bad either!
