DON'T buy this!

I purchased this during my kitchen renovation two years ago. Prior to that I had as $50 dollar microwave for 8 years that never have me any issues and I can't believe that my cheap microwave out performed this supposedly "beautiful upgrade". I don't mistreat my appliances, and this microwave is over the range so my children can't use it. Yet this product is non functional at the moment. The latch that closes the door spontaneously stopped working so the microwave door keeps opening, the light stays on continuously and I can't use it AT ALL. Appliance service calls are not cheap , plus labor it may as well be tossed in the trash heap. I can't believe I paid so much money for an item with such a short lifespan. .. lasted just long enough to outlive the manufacturer warranty. I'm shopping for an additional fridge and new laundry room set and thanks to this dissappointing experience I'm absolutely ruling out any more Frigidaire appliances

POOR DURABILITY

I purchased this microwave in December of 2010. in November of 2011 it went on the fritz. It would not stop unless the door was open. The power must have been on 110%, i had a cup of water boil in less than 30 seconds. Called manufacturer waranty, they could not diagnose over the phone, I had to contact a service place from thier list. The service man stated he was going to have to "rebuild" the whole internal workings. After waiting three weeks for parts, Frigidaire decided it would replace the unit. Mean while I have been without a microwave for almost a month now!

Great look!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great look and size, no issue with its use. It heats food evenly. The cons are the overly loud signal when the food is done, it does not allow you to add 30 secs while it is cooking, and the door does not shut smoothly. Overall a good product for the price and it looks good in my kitchen

Over The Range Microwave Works OK

We purchased this a month ago. Works the same as the last microwave. Not very powerful but works. The lights below it are terrible. They might as well not be there.

Low Quality

Handle cracked off with light use. Since them been opening/closing by grasping at the bottom and pulling which broke the rest of the frame over time.

Disappointment

I professionally cleaned houses for 25 years and I have never run across an appliance that cannot be cleaned with a paper towel and glass cleaner. If you try it will produce scratches on the plastic surface. Just opening the door if your finger nails touch the front door it gets scratched. I have only owned it for 2 1/2months and I only use my nuckles to touch the surface. I can only imagine what it will look like in a year. I can't get the family to hardly touch it when using it and why should they? Very disappointed.

My sons bought this new microwave because my old Sharp died. They decided to buy a Frigidaire, as I have a Frigidaire stove. I now match. I have only had it a month, so I really like it.

3-4 months after the warranty expired, the microwave went on the blink. I paid a serviceman $100 to tell me the switch was bad-cost $100- with the possibility that two other switches might have to be replaced. Cost, $100 each.
The microwave remains in place--not usable. I'm using an OLD counter-top model. No more Frigidaires for me.
