Had a food saver for years and it worked great. Finally quit. This product was no where close to matching my old one. Would not completely vacuum or would vacuum completely and not seal. Junk. Returned
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It's a very nice sealer and works well. I purchased it for the hand held sealer, plus the price is great. After receiving it, I decided I wanted a larger sealer that holds the roll in the machine with the cutter built in like I had before. I have ordered a larger one in order to have the option that I got used to. If you're looking for a basic vacuum sealer, this is a perfect little machine that doesn't take up much space.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is the Way!! If you have not tried a vacuum sealing system before, we highly recommend this one. Got the wife this for Christmas, and we use it on everything now. opened Beef Jerky, opened gummy bears, marinating porkchops, sealing freezer items, just a ton of stuff. It works amazing.
