Our new dryer

The dryer is very efficient and dries the clothes much quicker than my old dryer. Makes me realize how much more energy my old dryer was taking. The dryer works fantastic. However, there is a very very loud buzzer that lets you know when the load is done. And then seconds later it goes again to let you know you didn't respond to the first buzzer. The buzzer is very very loud
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thank you for being part of the GE Appliances family! We’re happy to hear that you’re noticing a significant improvement in drying time and energy efficiency compared to your old dryer. The even airflow provided by the extra-large heat diffuser ensures your clothes are dried evenly, and we’re glad to know you're enjoying that feature.
We appreciate your feedback about the buzzer and will share it with our product design team. As we continue to improve future models, your comments are extremely important to us!
I don't love this dryer and wish I had just stuck with my old cheap model. After 40 minutes on high heat, a partial load will still have wet spots. However, I will say that my laundry does come out much softer than my previous dryer. My biggest regret about purchasing this dryer is that the buzzer on it is loud enough to wake the dead and it goes off twice per cycle. Apparently this cannot be disabled without voiding the warranty and it's made me dread doing laundry if I have to be anywhere near the laundry room when it goes off.

We want to help out with boosting the drying performance. We recommend checking the following article for troubleshooting tips that can help: (Taking Too Long To Dry Clothes) https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=18058
We will be passing your comments about the volume of the buzzer over to our product team to review. This helps us look for improvements we can add to our models going forward. Thanks again for sharing.
So far it works like a dryer should. It also fits in my very small laundry closet which is why I bought it. Smallest depth on the market that I could find. I'm still trying to figure out the right settings to achieve the level of drying that I want. THE BUZZER, COME ON GE, IT IS TOO LOUD. Get it?

We are excited to hear that your new dryer is operating as designed. We will be sure to pass these comments regarding the end of cycle tone along to our product team for review, as we're always looking for new ways to improve our products.
This dryer has functioned wonderfully, it drys items well and its operation is quiet. The matching washer has a pleasant chime when finished and I never thought to test its tone when a cycle is done. Whoever designed sound this machine makes when a cycle is complete is fully psychotic. Why!?!? It is like a tornado siren going off THREE times, what on earth were you thinking?! There is NO MUTE, why on earth wouldn’t you have a mute feature!? It’s awful, I can’t run the dyer before bed for fear of having a heart attack when it goes off in the night. If there was a way to turn it off without voiding the warranty or muting or lowering the volume this would be okay- but no, this is crazy.

We value this feedback about your dryer buzzer. This unit has what we call a Fixed End-of-Cycle signal, meaning the signal is "fixed" and the volume cannot be adjusted. It will buzz automatically at the end of the cycle. Once the timer moves to the OFF position, it will automatically shut off.
Your comment regarding this feature is extremely important to us and will be considered by our product design team for review.
