Down venting was a challenge. Only been in use 2 weeks would need more time to give any stronger review. Seems to do the job. Initially a metallic sound had us concerned but that noise has stopped after 3 loads.

We have to run the dryer through multiple cycles to get clothes dry. They come out wrinkled regardless of setting. Very disappointed.

We would like to assist you with this washer. Drying performance will vary based on multiple factors such as the size of the load, the type of fabric ex. cotton holds more water than synthetic fabrics, the wetness of the clothes and the condition of your exhaust ventilation. Using the proper venting material and making sure the vent ductwork is the proper length is very important to the operation of a dryer. We recommend the use of a solid metal vent pipe 4" in diameter for adequate operation. 4" diameter flexible metal venting may be used but will increase the drying time. We also advise removing and cleaning the lint filter each time it is used. The filter can be washed with warm soapy water to remove fabric softener residue from the screen. The dryer gets the job done but it doesn't really get hot on the timed settings. Also you can't really dry large loads.

To improve your drying experience, we do not recommend putting more than one washer load in the dryer at a time. Please also ensure the lint filter is cleaned before or after every cycle. If the dryer is not heating, it may be due to no heat setting being chosen. Recently replaced a Sears Kenmore set of washer&dryer after 33 years and I am pleasantly surprised at how much I love my new GE washer & dryer! So far so good and a big “Thank You!” for making an easy to use and overall good washing machine and dryer!

Dryer does not get hot enough. Totally overrated as Commercial Quality. I’m guessing the price is nothing more than a hidden extended warranty.

We'd like to help out with your dryer not drying or heating. We first recommend checking the ductwork for any obstructions or kinks that can potentially reduce the airflow to the unit. Make sure that the outside wall cap is opening easily. You can also check to make sure the electrical connection to the dryer is able to properly supply the proper voltage. This model requires a 240V,5600W,24A,60Hz or 208V,4400W,22A,60Hz connection.
