Met needs of my father

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dryer was bought for my elderly father. He finds it very easy to use. The noise level is minimal. He particularly likes the light when the dryer door is open. We bought this primarily because of the 5 year warranty.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Outstanding features of the dryer are capacity and performance. It nicely handles large loads of bath towel and of multiple sets of bed sheets ... queen size! The buzzer on the dryer is a trifle too loud for us (the laundry is right next to the bedroom and we tend to throw in a load just before going to bed - perhaps the volume can be adjusted). The controls are very easy to use - not too complicated or excessive range of options to choose from. All in all, we're happy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Besides the end of cycle Buzzer being extremely loud, it's a nice sized dryer and dries efficiently. Whether it's my clothes, my husband's thick heavy cloths or bedding such as blankets are all dry the first time meaning less running time = saving energy. The control knobs move smoothly from one setting to the next. I'm very pleased with my dryer purchase.

Lint Filter Doesn't Catch the Lint

I installed this dryer (GTX52EASPWB) on 9/7/21. It is still running great. BUT the lint filter is poorly designed. The lint bypasses the filter and goes into the chamber leading to the exhaust duct. This chamber is narrow and deep, therefore very hard to clean out. Before I started using the dryer, I purchased a 22-inch long and narrow vacuum attachment made by Miele that fits into that chamber. I also purchased a 24-inch-long handled and narrow, Swiffer duster that fits into that chamber. Before each use I remove the lint filter, clean it and using the two tools mentioned above - clean that chamber. If you don't want to take the time and effort to clean this chamber each use, you're going to have air duct clogs and a noticeable change in dryer performance, not to mention needing a service call.
