Great dryer, except for the buzzer.

The dryer works great, dries clothes, no wrinkles. I would have given this a higher rating, but the obnoxious buzzer knocks points off. I don't understand why after the reviews posted online why GE hasn't rectified this problem.

Buzzers loud enough to wake the dead?

Not a bad dryer, but the buzzers announcing the end of the drying cycle are INCREDIBLY loud - loud enough to disturb our neighbors in another apartment, but apparently we cannot turn them off without a service visit.

Horrible buzz to let you know your clothes are dry

The dryer works fine but the timer that goes off when the dryer is finished is unbearable to listen to. We have looked all over the dryer to see how we can turn it down or off all together but cannot find a switch. The dryer is so loud I'm sure my neighbors know when I am doing my laundry. It sounds like an emergency fog horn. It is just awful. I would love to know how to turn that function off.

The signal sound if VERY loud It does dry well.

Our new GE dryer was installed today. It dries well. The clothes came out of the dryer virtually wrinkle free. The major downside is the end of cycle signal. It is annoyingly LOUD. It repeats within 1-2 minutes for about 3 or 4 times. When we bought it, I told the salesman we did not need one with bells and whistles. Our prior dryer had an option to turn the signal on or off. I sure wish I could turn this one off - or at least turn it down. It is very annoying.
