While the printer seems to be doing it's job with no complaints from me, I do have an issue with the setup process and the touch screen. First, there is no printed instruction book to tell you how to pair the printer to your existing computer. I had to download the HP app to find out the printers ip address and password. That was an experience all by itself!! Next, the touch screen is so small, I have to use a pen that has a touch screen tip on one end in order to hit the correct letters/ numbers when entering info. Ridiculous!! The keypad is built for a child's fingers!! I don't claim to be"tech savvy" but this is way too inconvenient for the basic consumer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Set-up is a PAIN IN THE POSTERIOR! Also, I purchased this printer because it very clearly stated that it takes ink from any manufacturer. Now the printer is trying to strong-arm me into accepting software updates that will make this printer only compatible with HP-branded ink cartridges. BATE and SWITCH!!!

It's a little odd to be tracked so tightly, for the company to know how many pages I've printed and whether or not I've changed cartridges, sending notifications that I have new cartridges I haven't installed yet, for example. The printer quality is OK, but it feels creepy.

NOT a good replacement for the so called outdated but MUCH BETTER HP 8620 Pro Inkjet

Setup was NOT for the uninitiated. To make use all capabilities other downloads and installations were needed (e.g. scan from PC). The touch pad is horrendous, does not respond well and requires multiple attempts or total retries (e.g. canceling activity and trying again). A very poor update from previous printer (HP 8620 Inkjet Pro) HP's quality control has gone south in favor of the bean counters and will result in a drastic sales loss, especially after it is compared to other manufactures!
