I was looking for a canister model vacuum. The model that is normal in Europe, the right up modell is history for many years. They are not easy to use under beds etc. After lots of research I choose for Bissell. USA made is important for me, also good service and Bissel has that. This canister for hard floor s doing his work very well. Easy to get the dirt out of it, chance the brushes etc. I am vey satisfied after 1 day of intensive use in a household with cats and dogs and stairs. I hope that that continues for many years. You ask me after a few years :)

I received the vacuum today and have to say I am very pleased with it. I have all hardwood and tile floors and my regular vacuum was leaving scratches in the old, original hardwood floors. After doing a lot of research I decided to order this vacuum from Bissell since it was not readily available in local retail stores. This vacuum was very easy to put together. I immediately used it and was quite surprised at how much suction it actually had to the floors. The soft rotating brush and soft wheels are nice. The only complaint I have is the wand between the handle and the vacuum attachment is short, you have to order a separate extension to get what I think should be a standard length. I did also have to wait weeks after placing the original order since it was on back order. We will see how long the rotating brush lasts with the tight suction it gets on the floors, hoping to not have to replace it on a regular basis.
