Poor Reliability

I purchased this unit to replace another Bissell canister vacuum that died after two years of use. That particular one started to emit a very strong burning smell whenever in use ( The smoke alarm even went off one time). So out of concern of it catching on fire, I threw it away and purchased this newer model. After just 3.5 months of use, the motor has died. The vacuum powers on and I can hear the motor spinning, however it is really quiet and theres little or no suction. It could just be luck of the draw, but after two bad products from Bissell I cannot recommend any product from this company. Based on my personal experience, they are not built to last.

Good vacuum but a bit tippy

Nice vacuum with pretty good suction. I only have a few suggestions. First, make the power cord longer. I live in an old house with few power outlets and there are a few areas (mostly hallways) where I have to use an extension cord. Second, add more weight to the front of the unit. When I try to pull the vacuum as I move along, it has a tendency to wheelie and tip backwards. Third, a slightly longer hose would make it easier to vacuum desks, shelves, and countertops. That being said though, I am still happy with the vacuum.
