I have owned a Food Saver since the late1990s. Wow what changes. The new Food Saver is so easy to use. I was amazed at how quiet it is. I like that I no longer have to hold the lid down to start the vacuum. I haven’t been able to use all of the features yet but, I know I will like them.

Finally had the opportunity to use this. The feature of being able to seal the bottom of the next bag while cutting the previous one is a time saver. The sealing process was very easy with no guessing in where you should start to vacuum seal the bag since it senses where the top of the bag is and begins to seal it.

For the past few years I’ve been using a bottom of the line base model that I purchased through a large retailer. When I saw this new unit I knew I would have to purchase it. I made my purchase when it was on sale and couldn’t be happier that I did.

i really want to like this new machine but first I had to return the first one because it would not work at all, now this one for some reason does not sense the bag I keep moving it around inside where the sensors are and it is like a hit or miss thing. I will have to call customer service again

I got this today dor a replacement in a different model which was under warranty: It is a piece of junk!!
you need 4 hand to work this thing, that is not me, and it does work, it won't vacuum;

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. We recommend the following troubleshooting steps as they may help resolve this issue:
1. Make sure the open end of the bag is resting entirely inside the vacuum channel. The edge of the bag should not go beyond the vacuum channel. Do not make your own side seams for a FoodSaver bag. They are manufactured with special side seams sealed all the way to the outer edge.
3. Check the bag for leaks. Seal the bag with some air in it. Submerge it in water and apply pressure. Bubbles indicate a leak. If the bag has a leak, a new bag is needed.
4. We recommend you pre-freeze meats and other moist foods for 1-2 hours before vacuum sealing. Excess liquids from moist foods can cause the unit to not vacuum, and permanent damage can occur.

I am using this Foodsaver way more then the specific counter one. I love that if you are using the zip lock reusable bags, there is no assembly needed all you need to do is change the mode.
