I've had this mower a little under two months and yesterday it suddenly stopped working. I was on the phone with support yesterday and today and they were very helpful troubleshooting, but my issue can't be resolved remotely. They found a certified shop that will repair it, but I will be responsible for negotiatiing transportation with the shop and will be on the hook for the expense of getting their broken product there, which is 30 miles away.
I was very pleased with the mower up until about noon yesterday. But I am beyond disappointed that A) the mower broke down so soon after purchase - I think I only used it 15 times or so, and B) that their warranty only covers parts and labor and not the entire expense of repairing their faulty product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the clean air and relatively quiet operation! I am impressed with how effectively the mower manages hilly terrain. I added chains to the rear wheels, and it doesn't hesitate on the steepest of our slopes. However, the motors running the cutting blades could benefit from more power. I use the mower to cut a 1 acre meadow with thick grass, and even on the highest setting, I have to proceed very slowly, with the blades occasionally getting bogged down (at this speed, I can cut half to three quarters of the acre on one charge). Assembly was straight forward, and operation is easy, as long as you remember to press break pedal when starting the mower. Plastic cover around the base of steering wheel was cracked during shipment and I am requesting a replacement.
Overall, this is a solid choice considering the scarcity of electric mower tractors (zero-turns are a nightmare on uneven, hilly terrain). The reason for removing two stars is due to several hardware and software engineering issues:
1. There is no easy way to remove the mowing deck. Electric wires are bolted to the deck with several clamps, making deck removal a complicated task. This means that cleaning the deck and sharpening the blades requires having a lift to get under the tractor.
2. There is a safety feature that stops the blades when in reverse. This makes maneuvering in tight turns really frustrating. The reverse blade button is useless unless you rig it to be pressed constantly.
3) As mentioned by others, the omission of a charging port that would simplify overnight charging is another annoyance.

Very quiet I've used it every week. It does an excellent job on the lower blade speed. Hills are not a problem. The only thing I would suggest is that it should have some sort of brake as I turned the key off when I was on a slope and the mower took off with no way to stop or steer.
bought this pro 80 volt zero turn last fall of 2022. It is now a pleasure to cut grass .. very quiet and fast . i can not imagine ever going back to gas mower.. my first greenworks tool was a 80 volt leaf blower 3 years ago. I now own a chainsaw ,edger, trimmer.hedge trimmer. Love them all great company that makes great products
The quality of the cut is amazing and I love the zero turn capability. The turning handles is a bit sensitive but doesn't affect the overall cutting experience. I have an incline hill in the backyard and this mower has no issue to drive up and down with even cut. I like the push buttons for blade speed and driving speed control because I can make the mowing selections swiftly. The run time of the battery is great, with less than a half acre, I usually have 60% to spare with low blade and driving speed. A couple of negative points with this mower: 1. Quality: The blade stopped working toward the end of the first cut and I was surprised to see it happened to an new mower. I called customer support with fault code and found out I need to replace right blade controller module. I received the part from Greenworks within 3 days and installation was effortless. 2. Charging: Not able to charge all 6 batteries concurrently. Circuit breaker trips if you do. I have a mixed feeling with the mower initially, but I started enjoying it. I own a battery powered dual motor Greenworks push mower and I used to mow and bag it each time, sometimes I have to wait for additional battery to be re-charged again and finish the mow when grass is too tall. The benefit of owing a riding mower is tremendous in my case. I was able to finish the cut less than 35 minutes without bagging comparing to ~2 hours with push mower, and the cut is even. My push mower always leave a trail of mohawk when grass is taller. Final thought: this mower is fast with smooth cut and I would recommend it.
I have used this for about 1 year and have no complaints. It cuts well and the batteries last for 1.5-3 acres depending on how much the grass has grown. I've also used this to tow some logs/firewood and had no problems. The rapid chargers are fast enough to fully charge a set of 6 batteries in the time that it takes me to deplete a second set of 6 batteries. It is very quiet and convenient to turn on/operate.
We have 5 acres that has been subjected to California wildfires every year and in 2017 fire did sweep over our place. Keeping the grass a short as possible is important to maintain a "defensible space". Using a push mower has taken dozens of sessions and is physically taxing. Getting this all electric riding mower has made the task enjoyable and at times even fun. It only takes a few days to do what before took many days. We charge the batteries with solar panels thus eliminating the fossil fuel cause of the climate driven wildfire storms. This riding mower has made our lives easier and safer.
Pros: Convenient, Easy to Use, Durable, Environmentally Safe, Effective
