Excellent entry level mower

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Effective and easy to use entry level mower for a suburban house with about a half acre lot. The single 30 inch blade has an advantage that the blade tips spin so fast that it does an awesome job to generate enough lift to get a very good cut and has sufficient power to go through relatively long grass. This mower being a tractor does however stop the blades when you have to reverse unless you hold down a specific button each time, which if you forget will be tricky to do intricate landscaped areas. However, it's easy enough to train yourself after a few times. The mower has built in charger and it plugs in easily and charges very fast. Overall, very satisfied with the mower with hopes that the batteries retain their life over the years.
Pros: Convenient, Easy to Use, Environmentally Safe, Effective, Powerful

Shockingly quiet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a bit of trouble when we first started this mower up. It's so quiet that we couldn't tell it was on! I don't need noise cancelling headphones to mow the lawn any more! I have 7 3/4 acres (mostly wooded) so I have a lot to cover and the batteries last a great amount of time. There are two extra battery slots, so if one day I feel like I really want more power I could just buy two more.

Well Made Mower, Does The Job & The Price Is Right
on June 28, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm having an issue with the side discharge chute constantly coming off during use. The right tip seems to be too close to the ground. Am I the only one having this issue? What is the fix? Also, I can't seem to figure out how to purchase the rear discharge attachment for this mower, can someone help with this?

Doing a great job, and easy to charge. Fits perfectly in our 8x10 shed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this recently, was concerned about how to charge as I have to plug charger into outlet on porch. I place charge on lawn chair, park mower below porch 7 feet away from outlet and viola! When I'm done mowing (and it does a lovely job) I plug in for next time. Rain off and on has brought lots of grass, so when it's over 80 degrees, push mower stays in shed, and bedabing badaboom, I'm done with a little over a 1/4 acre of grass.

Wonderful Mower

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this little rider this month, received on Wednesday and had the first go on our yard today. I am very pleased with the ease of driving this mower. Still learning but so far this mower performs better than expected. The only issue is figuring out how to adjust for mulching as I thought the lever was in the correct position but there was a whole lot of grass inside the area in back. Next purchase will be the bagger attachment.

Arrived in good condition but had trouble with the parking brake. The right brake cable was not hooked up correctly so we had to fix that. And then the parking brake was so tight it wouldn't work. My husband spent quite awhile adjusting the brake so it would work. Kind of disappointing in Greenworks quality control
Pros: Convenient, Quiet, Environmentally Safe

In general I am very satisfied with the machine. It cuts on a par with the gas machine previously used. It is also useful as utility vehicle to transport tools and such around the property or to visit nearby neighbors. Together with battery chainsaw and string trimmer I can throw away the gas cans. With a light weight front end it is easier to maneuver than the gas unit and also seems to handle rough terrain better. I mow a yard, orchard and some field. None of these are manicured. I don't measure the acreage cut but a battery charge lasts just over 1.5 hours with 4 AH batteries.
The mower came with 2 discovered defects. 1: The cooling fan on 1 charger does not shut off until the battery is removed. 2: The parking brake will not set. It probably just needs some adjustment which leads to perhaps my biggest problem which is the owner's manual.
A machine as expensive as this deserves a comprehensive and clear manual covering operation and routine maintenance and adjustments. An owner's manual should be clear, correct and comprehensive. The provided manual is not. It would also be useful to have a parts list with exploded views.
The control panel is in an awkward position and not easy to reach while in operation.
There needs to be an option to operate blades in reverse without undertaking a frustrating sequence of operations.
An onboard charger would be of considerable convenience even if it were a slow charger. Many will find removing and replacing the batteries is not a trivial job.
Pros: Easy to Use, Quiet, Environmentally Safe, Effective
