It's good overall for a small yard

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It cuts really good but the tires do slip alot. Also, it doesn't cut even close to an acre on one charge as advertised. I have about an acre and I could only cut about a third with one charge.
Pros: Easy to Use, Quiet, Powerful
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Tires slipping, can be caused by a combination of factors, including tire condition, ground conditions, and mowing technique. With practice, you can get a feel for how your mower behaves on different terrains and learn to adjust your mowing technique accordingly.
We are sorry to hear you are not happy with the runtime you are getting with the battery included. As we are not sure of the condition of your lawn, we are not exactly sure why the battery did not meet your expectations. The maximum runtime often applies to a relatively flat, open yard. Slopes and obstacles require more power, and users can expect running time to be less, if this is the case. Runtime measurements are also related to the condition of the grass and if it is well-maintained. Tall, thick grass requires more power, and you must mow it slower, consuming added runtime. Here are a few tips to ensure the max runtime is achieved. Ensure you charge the battery fully before each use, maintain the battery properly by cleaning terminals, avoid extreme temperatures during storage. Consider buying a second battery for larger lawns, this mower can be used with Greenworks 80v battery, for optimal runtime we would recommended to use all provided batteries. Mow in a straight line and choose a mower with a powerful battery suitable for your lawn size. If the grass has been left to exceed four inches, we advise that you raise the cutting height and cut no more than one-third of the length of grass at a time, wait a couple of days and do another one-third, cut when grass is dry and walk at steady pace to allow the blade to work more efficiently. Bought the same motor with six batteries.. had it for one year. Works great no issue so far. I love not having to buy gas and oil anymore.. And my neighbors don't even know when I cut my grass because it's so quiet.
Pros: Cost-Saver, Easy to Use, Quiet, Durable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first time out on a zero turn and easily mastered the controls. I easily mowed almost an 1 acre with only 4 5.0 amp batteries. Some of that was thick overgrowth from last season. I have a green works push mower, pressure washer , impact drill and driver. Great products!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was greatly impressed after using the mower the first time. I mowed a 2 acre lot and still had 45% of the battery remaining. The mower had excellent power despite heavy grass. The mower turns in a tight radius making it easy to cut around trees. I like the safety element of the way the mower blades shut off automatically if I get up out of the seat. The turbo chargers shut off automatically when the batteries are full charged.

Not Our Best Purchase

We have had this tractor for about 3 months. Seat cannot be adjusted far enough back for someone 6' tall. Side discharge chute does not stay in place; gets pulled off very easily, and actually got pulled under the mower and was cut. We have a 1/4 acre lot and it takes 3 charges to completely cut the yard using the mulching option. We like not having to use gas, but would not purchase again.
Pros: Environmentally Safe
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ive had the zero turn for almost 2 years now and it is one of the best purchases ive ever made. It has bought me so much time, I wish had done it years ago. Minimal maintenance, strong performance. I own everything greenworks and this has proved to be extremely durable as have the rest. Only one complaint and a couple of a fyi's. The cover to convert the side discharge to a mulcher isn't poor quality plastic but designed without thought to durability, the slot that catches the hook on the top broke almost immediately. As far as mowing on slopes, i have many well some beyond suggested limitations, as long as i am thoughtful when approaching and have an appropriate speed it's just fine. The other is a safety lock out. I use this in a literal forest so there are many leaves. The handles have to be in the locked/outermost position to start. After substantial use a fine powder of leaves can build up between the handle and the button it needs to depress which will leave it locked out and unable to start. It took a while to figure out.
I almost forgot to mention, between being almost silent and no combustion engine to fight with it is a dream come true.
