Very Satisfied with this Mower

I bought this mower a couple of months ago. It came in like 2 days from my order and the shipping company was top notch. It comes on a shipping frame just like the Ryobi unit does.
This is my first riding mower, but I still was very impressed. I have a yard that has many hills that are much greater than the 15-degree incline that this mower is recommended to be limited to. (Mine are closer to 30 degrees and some more than that) That doesn't bother it one bit when you are going up a steep incline. My yard is about .3/4 to 1 acre of grass. It took me 53 minutes compared to the 2.5 hours before with a Honda self-propelled push mower with a 21" or so deck.
It is very quiet (no hearing protection required in my book) and really has a lot of power. On my first cut the battery life went from 100% down to ONLY 86%. I also very inefficiently cut the grass as it was my first time. I have effectively used the unit for 5 plus cuts and just joy riding without having had to charge the batteries.
ONE CRUCIAL DETAIL TO THE AVERAGE HOMEOWNER: The chargers draw up to 10 amps! This means you CANNOT charge all 6 batteries on a 20-amp circuit. I have tried and I trip my breaker. I have charged 4 successfully at a time on a 20-amp breaker in my shed. This could be a huge drawback or very inconvenient for some.
I think this mower would benefit from having a plug-in option instead of battery removal, but for my uninsulated shed this is just fine. For those wondering as I did, the rear hitch hole size is 5/8". I wish Greenworks would offer more attachments for this mower such as Cub Cadet or even Ryobi does. It would be good for them to at least put a compatibility chart or YouTube channel together so that we can understand what attachments work well for this product. For example: I would like to understand if I can retrofit a sleeve hitch to add a tiller to the unit. Would this create too more force that would twist the lighter weight frame of the unit? Since I have nothing to compare this to, I have given it a 5-star rating. Most of what I discuss I was aware of prior to purchasing the unit or had a hunch that could be the case. I hope Greenworks reads these reviews and looks to address some of the customer concerns to continue to grow as a top tier yard equipment provider.
Pros: Convenient, Easy to Use, Quiet, Effective, Powerful

Pro 60V 42" CrossoverT Riding Lawn Mower

This is a great mower. It handled about 3/4 acre and still had 30% juice remaining. I also like that I can use the same batteries in my weed trimmer, and leaf blower, and soon to be snow blower. I'm counting on a lot of years of no service before having to replace the batteries.

We are so, so, so glad we FINALLY decided to buy the Pro 80V 42 inch Crossover riding mower! We're seniors and have an acre of partially wooded lot, with some slopes that are probably 15% grade. I was rather scared to attempt the hills (wifey here) but now that I watched my husband give it a go I just had to do it myself, and no problem. We haven't had to actually mow yet because the growing season is on hold for the year. But we've both taken turns running all over, up and down the driveway, slopes, around trees and bushes, practicing with our new mower. This is now going to be a joy for the hot Florida months of growing season here, instead of a dread with a push mower.
With battery power this baby shows no fear of ability in it's work. Amazing power. And we've only been using 1 battery in our practice runs. I like that the speed can be regulated from slow to fast with the button. Steering is very sensitive to drive, making fast turns, even in the slow position. That's why we're just practicing for now. But we've got it figured out.
We live in the woods and with that comes wild boars routing up the yard for acorns. Hubby rakes the ruts over and I've been driving our new mower over the ruts with the tires, to smoothe them down. This is so much fun! I don't want our beautiful lawn torn up by the hogs but don't mind so much since we can smooth them down with the big tires....Until next year.

Mower is good but Manual is a bit lacking

Mower is good, but the manual is lacking information on how to remove the mowing deck. It states in 11.2.1 about it being mentioned in the previous section, but the previous section does not mention it. Nor could I find a YouTube video showing how to do this. Lack of youtube videos in this day and age is a big minus.

Battery concern

I was very impressed with the whole purchasing and mowing experience. Untilthe shoulder strap on the battery bag broke causing the bag to fall with the batteries hitting the floor.
Should I be concerned about battery life or safety (fire risk)

Hello McLeod,

Thank you for taking the time to voice your concerns. Damage would depend on where and how far the battery fell, there are too many factor to determine if any damage has occurred. We would recommend taking the battery to your local serve center or contact Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline at 1-855-345-3934 so that we can complete troubleshooting and gather all necessary unit details.

Was very impressed with this tractor/riding mower. Incredible power, very long battery life (have used multiple times for small jobs, and each of my family members have taken a turn driving it around the neighborhood, and the battery is still in the 98% range). Unlike some of the reviews, the seat comfort and distance to pedals is very good. I'm 6'1" and am very comfortable on this machine.
