This product has nice lighting

I very happy with design of product and the lighting. I also like the dual alarm feature. I am disappointed there isn't a battery back up and that the nature sounds are not available for the sunset simulation especially at this price point.
Pros: good lighting, like the nature sounds
Cons: can't use nature sounds with sunset simulation, lacking a battery back up

Good product - BUT fall asleep mode only works with radio

All functionality of the product is good EXCEPT - the fall asleep mode ONLY works with the RADIO. It is outlined in the manual that you can use the RADIO or one of the 5 SOUNDS. After a few weeks of trying to get customer support to respond - I was finally told that the manual is incorrect - the Fall asleep only works with one sound - the Radio, and they are working to correct the manual. I pointed out that I have seen reviews(after I bought the product) for a few years indicating this problem - I would think the manual could have been corrected by then.
Pros: all except the most import function work
Cons: the fall asleep does not work with 5 sounds, fall asleep only works with fm radio -, confirmed by philips - the manual is wrong
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Really helps to get up easily in the morning before the sun. And the wake up is gentle, usually just the light is enough to start waking you - and its easy to get up before the alarm goes.
The "alarm" is zen music and birds, so it doesn't jar you awake.

J'ai fait le meilleur test possible... avec mon ado qui est impossible à réveiller et ça fonctionne !!!

The only downfall of this product is that the light needs to get brighter. I'm very sensitive to light yet this bulb doesn't quite make me feel like waking up. It takes a couple of hits of the snooze feature to let the light filter into my closed eyes. So it's okay eventually, but the light itself needs to be bigger and or brighter to achieve this. Besides this I really love this alarm clock!
Pros: nice to wake up to the music & bird sounds., light helps wake me up compared to no light.
Cons: needs to be brighter or fuller light to wake me up
