Solid build quality and performance. Heat builds in the cooking area quickly and evenly. Windy conditions do not impact the cooking experience. At the same time excessive residual smoke or smell doesn't build in the cook box.
We've been very happy with the performance of our Prestige PRO 500. The controls are excellent, it lights instantly, heats fast and the grate design is superior.
Gets fabulously hot for searing, the grates and grill have real mass. One of main burners has a sticky spot on the control knob/valve which is troubling. I lusted for this grill 20 years ago, finally bought one and am still evaluating. Rotisserie worked flawlessly.
We researched a number of stand-alone (not built-in) grills before settling on Napolean. The local dealer was a strong influence in our purchasing this grill. Notwithstanding, the grill is feature rich ranging from the ease of lighting it to the built in convenience of cabinet and interior grill lighting. Our grill is relatively new (2 months) so we have yet to comment on the long term durability but the warranty should (hopefully) eliminate any concerns. Cooking on it (steaks and burgers thus far) has been great and the rotisserie and associated basket makes grilling vegetables (and tots) a breeze. If there were any opportunities to improve, I would suggest that with only two burners lit, the maximum heat output could be improved as the grill will struggle to achieve 400F for indirect grilling -- not really a problem, it just takes longer to cook indirectly Another suggestion would be to increase the usefulness of the 'ice bucket" on the right hand side -- putting ice near to a warm grill just doesn't seem to have merit so we use it for trash. Perhaps another standalone simmer burner or something similar? Overall, we love this grill, it looks great and cooks far better than our previous grills we have owned (which is why you should buy it). Lastly, the cover; while functional, the gauge is very thin and I do not expect it to last the summer. Certainly not a deal breaker, just FYI
This is a great grill. Solid materials, strong burners, and all the right components. The rotisserie kit is convenient, the side burner lets me make grilled cheese for the kids while grilling burgers/brats for the adults. Natural gas cooks hot and never runs out. Assembly wasn’t quite as clear as I hoped, but pretty darn close. Thanks for a very solid grill that should last the next decade, Napoleon!
Quality grill with great features. Even heat distribution, rotisserie and sear station all work great. Bought the rotisserie basket which roasts veggies and other foods perfectly.
