I love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This alarm is really nice. The sounds aren't obnoxious or irritating, but still alerting. The app setup was pretty easy. It seems reliable. I feel like my home is safe with this. Im going to buy more for every room.

First time smart alarm user

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This smart smoke alarm is a first for me. I’ve always had your regular basic smoke/co detectors. The Ring smart alarm connects to WiFi and has subscription option. Out of the box it looks like a basic smoke alarm. You download the Ring app and then when you connect it to WiFi you have many options and features. The WiFi connection took about a minute. The set up another minute then it was up and running. On test it is loud and has voice announcements. So far I’m impressed with this smoke alarm.

Solid upgraded smoke detector

The smart connectivity is a standout feature, and the ability to receive alerts in real-time through the Ring app is a huge plus since it provides peace of mind when you’re not home. The alerts for things like a low battery are super helpful as well.
I really appreciate that it includes voice alerts to clearly tell you what’s going on instead of just sounding an alarm. That might be a small detail, but it’s really helpful and makes a big difference in stressful situations (or when your dog goes crazy if the alarm goes off!). The setup is really straightforward, and I like that it only requires the app and WiFi to get started instead of requiring additional or separate Ring devices.
Overall, this is a great option for anyone who wants to combine normal or traditional home safety with smart tech.

Happy with Kiddee

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve always liked Kiddee products and currently use them in my home. This fire alarm integrates with our ring system, which gives us notifications! Installation was easy, it only takes two batteries and I was able to easily install it. The most important part to me was that it also detects carbon monoxide.

Good concept but not a necessity

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like the idea of this smoke and carbon monoxide alarm: however, don’t think it’s a necessity and works best when you install multiple units throughout your house—typical of ring products. Also, not a fan of another WiFi thing in my house—especially one that I won’t generally need real time connectivity for and will bear an alarm at the same time I get a notification. I haven’t tested the alarm because I have a baby in my home, but I would guess it performs as well as other fire alarms. I placed on my main floor near the kitchen and going up to the bedrooms where I believe the most smoke/carbon monoxide risk to be, but after installing (which was not the easiest per my husband) I feel that near our bedrooms would’ve been better.
That said, I like that it gives peace of mind when I am away from home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that I can monitor this alarm on my ring app. It's not expensive but seems like a great value. I love that it also detects Co2. Makes me feel safe. Especially the fact it will call the fire department for me!
