Works very well, reliable, and great app

The suction and navigation on this unit are pretty much the best, I put this guy in my room and it reliably cleans my room everyday. The LiDAR Scanner maps the room so it knows where it is and where it has cleaned. If you pick it up and move it, it will scan the room for a moment to see where you placed it and will resume where it left off. Roborock app is the best to enable more features like scheduling, room cleaning. My favorite part is when it’s done and it time to return to the dock, it knows exactly where to go and how to get there without bumping into anything.

Pretty good vacuum

For us, getting a robot vacuum was a really big deal. we saved our pennies, hemmed, hawwed, then eventually waited until just the right moment and got ourselves what we thought was going to be the best vacuum only robot we could find. We run it *daily*, and we gave two cats so it fills up quickly. I clean out the roller brush about once a week and has to thoroughly clean it about once a month. It has definitely reduced dust in the house, though! This thing is super quiet, it's no louder than the tower fan I keep on at night for ambient noise.

Easy setup and great robotic vac

Really great robot and a massive improvement over the last versions. Been using it for a few weeks now, it performs exactly as advertised. The laser scanning, brain memory of the device, brush, deep carpet cleaning it can do (we have a German shepherd dog which sheds a lot) is fantastic. Running it 3 times per week and it's keeping my floor clean and very reliable, and I have not encountered any issue with it. It’s quieter and more powerful than expected (has a few different power modes which is nice). Remote control is fun to use and the scheduled cleaning works great. I will recommend this product to my family.

Super cost-effective!

I got it on 8th anniversary sale because my friend highly recommended Roborock to me. It was in a deal so I didn't spend much on it. I must say my friend is right, i love it very much now. I always want a little vacuum cleaner(i don't need mop function because i have carpet in my house) to help me clean my house and Q5 abosolutely makes it. The vacuum power is acceptable and it can suck almost all the debris on floor. Also, it can map my house really fast so i don't need to worry about map issue. What i love most is the routines, i can set sevaral tasks and then the robor will do its job automatically. Totally love it!

Best purchase ever!

My downstairs is a combo of hardwood, tiles and carpet. It does a great job on sucking the pet hair and cat litter. I have two cats and before I need to spend a lot of time to clean the cat hair by myself. I’ve only had it for a week and so far I am happy without seeing cat hair on my hard wood floors.

Great technology

This one is absolutely the best robotic vacuum I've ever had. It never gets lost and finds its way back to the base without any problem. I had a cheap robot vacuum before and it was throw way after 1 month as it wastes my time to babysit , and that against my purpose of using a robotic vacuum. The robocock Q5 is so smart, including its design and the application. It navigates very efficiently due to the LiDAR. And the feature I love the most must be the schedule. When I have no time to do housework, the only thing I need to do to keep the floor clean is to setup a scheduled cleaning.
I saw the price dropped and contacted customer support for price adjustment. The online agent helped me out less than 5 minutes. A product with great customer service will be recommended to all my friends.
This vacuum is 100% worth the money.

Love this robot

We've had the Q5 for about a month now. So far it is fantastic. Floors are amazingly clean. Navigation is superb. It had our house mapped in one try, took about 10 minutes.
I do recommend getting the upgraded brush that comes with the Q7. The normal stock Q5 brush gets tangled with hair very quickly, but the Q7 upgraded brush hasn't gotten tangled up even once. Much better.
The app has mostly been great. Easy to set no-go zones and invisible walls. My only complaint is that it doesn't make it easy to split up rooms. It mapped our living room, kitchen, and hallway as one single room. Every time I tried to split the rooms up the app would fail. I think this is because the three rooms make sort of a circle. To fix this, I had to create an artificial barrier between living room and kitchen, then reset the map and have the Q5 map the whole house again. Then I was able to remove the barrier and split the rooms up in the app. This process really should be easier. You should be able to split up rooms however you want, even splitting a single room into two zones if you want.
The main reason I have needed to split the rooms is because the dust bin capacity is not large enough to handle all three rooms. I need to be able to clean our big living room on a separate run from the kitchen and hallway.
The app complaint is fairly minor and hopefully they will improve this part of the experience. I'm so happy with the Q5 that I still give it 5 stars despite the app problem.

My wife and I are so happy with our new robot vacuum-Roborock Q5. It's easy to set up and there are so many great functions in APP. I like the new 3D Mapping, it’s a little cool. My wife likes the Scheduled Cleaning, cause she can makes it clean while we are out. It picks up all the things that other robotic vacuum cleaners would miss, cleans very thoroughly. It's great at navigating around the house and never gets stuck like my last vacuum cleaner did! It is a little noisy for me but it worths every penny. And it's perfect for hardwood or floors. I would recommend this vacuum to anyone who has pets at home but doesn't need mopping function!
