This vac is so quiet that we could use it overnight and sleep soundly. It picked up a good amount of dirt on the first sweep. I haven't tried the app yet, but hope to get that to work, too.

In the past 5 years, I've had a Roomba and a Shark robotic vacuum. The Roomba eventually died, and the Shark lost all suction power. Having read the reviews of the Roborock, I went with this one. I've had it for only a few weeks, but it's suction power is really impressive, better than Roomba or Shark ever were. The app interface is very intuitive, and it cleans much more quickly than the others I had. I sure hope this lasts for a long time, it's great.

The power suction in carpet mode is excellent. It vacuums in half the time the Roborock E4 did. Cleaning can be scheduled. It can be paired with Alexa devices (that comes in handy). Excellent on my cat's sheds of fur. I have it programmed to turn off the status light when charging is complete. My cat doesn't run away from it like she did with the E4: she just stares at it while it's cleaning. I only gave it 4 stars for 3 reasons: 1) the speaker volume is very low (even though it's set on high); if it needs rescuing, I won't hear it; 2) it cannot go under the loveseat like the E4 did (due to the sensor on top of the machine); and 3) when it starts cleaning, it does move kind of wonky (almost wobbly). Overall, it is a well-designed machine.
