A great product!

After researching the market for some time, we decided to purchase Roborock Q5 and have been very impressed with this product.
The product was well packed when arrived. As soon as I opened the box, it’s clear that Q 5 has very good build quality and uses high grade material. I also like its look with matte finish which provides a premium product look. The set up was very straightforward and took less than 5 minutes.
I have used other robot vacuums, and Roborock has by far the best mapping capabilities. It has the LIDAR module which allows it to map and understand its location. The Q5 accurately measure the entire space and establish the maps for multiple floors. By using the apps installed on the phone (which is easy to navigate), one can easily define the spaces (e.g. kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, living room, etc.) and pick the ones that need to be cleaned, and schedule the vacuuming ahead of time or on a regular basis. The live map function also provides a bird’s eye view of the robot’s cleaning status in real-time which is very cool. Oh, one can also set up invisible walls and no-go zones, which provides a way to blocking it from off-limit areas without a physical barrier.
Another important feature is it doesn’t easily get stuck, unlike some of the other robot vacuum brands I have used. This is important as I don’t have to monitor it all the time, and if I set it on a schedule, it will do the job without any “supervision”.
The Q5 cleans very effectively and can suck up almost everything: hair, quaker oats, crumbs/debris etc. We have a couple of holland lops at home so this was a big help. The product has a very good battery life (up to 180 min run time, which I read it’s one of the longest in the market), and can go back to the dock automatically to recharge. Although this hasn’t been needed as it can complete the vacuuming of the entire floor with a single charge, and still have >50% battery level left.
The Q5 also can easily clime up onto rugs, and follow the outline of obstacles very well. When it’s under something like the dinning table it may go around several times to make sure it gets everything.
In summary, in my opinion this is an excellent product. It vacuums well, has an excellent mapping capability, and once it’s set up (which is mostly straightforward) it will do the job without intervention, which is the reason to buy a robot vacuum.

Let the robot vacuum once everyday!

Years ago, I bought a vacuum robot. I am sure this old model has been improved with a much more powerful model, so I don't think it is fair to compare that robot with my new robot. However, I am really excited with my new Roborock.
Pros:
1. It has 4 levels of suction settings, it is flexible and the noise level is tolerable if you are sensitive to noise like me. I choose to turn it on when I am away from the house, which is even better because I would not hear it at all.
2. It has an app that lets you control the robot. You can choose to let the robot map and clean at the same time when it first starts to clean the house. You can let it memorize multi level mapping of the house. Mapping is important because the robot would know where to clean after mapping is done. The robot remembers where it cleaned and goes back to the charging station when power is low. Next time, you can choose to resume the cleaning or start over.
3. My old robot got stuck easily. Roborock is pretty smart to avoid getting stuck, though I did have to rescue it from being stuck, the chance is pretty low now.
4. Roborock knows not to climb down the stairs so you don't need to worry that it would fall down the stairs and destroy itself. I used to have to set barriers to make sure my old robot wouldn't fall down the stairs.
5. I am happy with the suction power. I have been using it daily. Yes, I admit I was not vacuuming daily before this. Now, I can let the robot do the job for me. Yeah!

Con:
1. Roborock cannot clean my daughter's room because the area rug I have, the threads are too long. It would stuck itself with the long thread. Oh well, I just had to set up the area for Roborock not to clean her room.

When the budget permits, I want a model that comes with the self-emptying can and mopping function. That would be the ultimate dream of a lazy housekeeper. If I keep dreaming, would there be a washer dryer that comes out clean and folded clothes? How about a self cleaning toilet that would clean itself without me scrubbing it?

Stong suction great for the floor

Roborock Q5, Although is a robot can vacuum only , no mopping function, It still be great suitable for who already have cleaning machine. The coming product box is well packed . It is including the base and the robot two part . Since I already have experience on the roborock app, So I use it more clear and easier 。First of all, I directly added new equipment Q5 on the APP. And let the robot explore the full map for the first time. The rooms was blocked by certain furniture, But the robot is so smart. It could “shuttle “ up and down without any obstacles. The map was completed very soon.
After a few days using this product, the Q5 I would say it got excellent cleaning effect. It move around very smart , even the corners of the wall and the furniture, It move in and out , and very closed to the wall. After placing some shredded paper on the floor, the robot went back twice and sucked it, nothing is behind. There were no pets at my home, so the hair and dust will be most dirts on my home. it has such stong suction for them. Every time after using it, I feel clean and happy . Because my boy always like to lie down on the floor when he is playing. After using , the robot it got some hair tangled in a scroll . It better to be cleaned by every time, it is easy. The cleaning effect I will give 4.8 of 5 full score. The robot Q5 is great to helps the floor keep clean in the convenient way.

Great for hard surface floors!

We just moved in our new house and all the floors are hard-surface. My friend bought a Q5 and it has been working very well in her studio, so we wanted to give it a try. So far the experience has been great!! I love that it can return to dock itself accurately so that we can just leave it on in the house and don’t need to worry about putting it back, rerouting it, etc. The map is generated pretty fast and the suction power is great. We’re now thinking about getting a S5 so that we can free our hands from both sweeping and mopping.

Very smart

I once thought cleaning stuff cant be completely replaced by robot cleaner. But this time I was wrong. Since I bought this machine, I'v ecut my cleaning times to two times a week. It has smart ability to avoid obstacles and even places like under bed, this vacuum can also clean it up and do a great job.

Honestly did know what to expect, but this little bot has really changed things. It’s easy to set up, just unpack, set it on auto and watch it map your rooms. The app is great, but you need to take some time to get used to it. I would recommend starting simple and working things out as you go.
You can custom a cleaning area by setting a box in the app. You can schedule different rooms on a map, you can group rooms based on your preferences. You can set it to clean a room in multiple passes to make sure you get a good clean. Love it!

Great tech at an amazing price! The suction is amazing! After its first cleanings, I was pleasantly surprised to see a mostly full dust cup and little to no traces of dog hair anywhere. And since most of my house is carpeted, it's in carpet mode most of the time, which is essentially the "max suction" setting. The vacuum just this morning cleaned about 800sq feet and had 60% battery left when finished. If you have wood floors and run a lower power setting, you could easily stretch the battery to over 2000sq feet. Amazing product!
