Tough!!

I have had my charge 4 over four months. The sound especially in bass mode is quite respectable. The overall frequency response is good if not really good from a relatively small cylinder shaped speaker.
The truth though is that its tough as nails... I have dropped it at least 10 times and the most recent drop I slipped and fell on top of it ( I weigh 200 lbs ) and it still rocks... er I mean ROCKS! It's barely scratched... no damage to ascertain at all. So it is worth every penny. Definitely shop around if you want to make sure... but if you get this you will not be disappointed. Also if you the physical aux input it will sound warmer and clearer. The Bluetooth operation does use dsp for sound processing and makes it thinner sounding.
Also if you are looking for a more true audiophile experience you'll need to fork out much more for something else.

Ive only owned it about a week now, but so far the battery life is good and the sound is excellent for its size.

Only had it for 3 days...the sound is absolutely beautiful.

Fell in love with this speaker. I knew it was rugged but it survived a vicious chewing by our huge Saint Bernard and still plays flawless!!
