This is the 3rd JBL wireless speaker I have purchased, and they just keep getting better and better! Battery life is outstanding, and sound quality is amazing!
Great sound coming out JBL Charge 4. It has great mid and high with a touch of extra bass you can enjoy even in low volume. The only bad thing is the app, there is no way to adjust the sound with a equalizer. JBL need to get some good App developers and improve the app and add EQ.
Vey good speaker with well ballanced sound regarding bass midrange and treble. My only problem with it is that when I connect it via minijack with my computer to listen to music or film, the speaker stops playing when the sound level is low, thus having an intermitent sound. I have to turn the volume up to avoid this which is not practical when working at night. This is due to a rather high signal setting of the auto off function. Rather disapointing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thanks for the review, we appreciate the feedback you've provided to us. One way of going around auto shut off feature is to keep the volume of the source high enough so that the speaker won't shut down and you'll just have to adjust the volume on the speaker itself. We're always looking for ways to improve so we'll make sure to submit your feedback to the right department.
It was an almost perfect speaker! It gets the job done, great bass, good lows & highs but only downside to the speaker which is quite the big downside to me, is the loss of stereo sound from the JBL Charge 3. The JBL Charge 3 had stereo sound firing from both the left and right side of the speaker while also maintaining great bass. If the JBL Charge 4 continued on with that stereo sound, it would've been the perfect speaker at a great price point. But it was like the water resistance was a trade off for a lower quality speaker. Maybe if the the driver was pinpointed in the middle of the whole unit instead of only on the left side, dispersing the sound more equally to each side, then you could possibly get away with it not being stereo but having 2 drivers firing off on both sides of the speaker would make the product a good 5 stars. So other than the loss of stereo and bad placement of the driver, perfect speaker, USB-C is a great move to have on it as well, the JBL Charge 3's micro-USB was its downfall on how weak that charging port was. The weird charger that comes in the box of the JBL Charge 4 is interesting though, never seen anything like it to where whatever side of the USB-A side you can plug it in to a port. But anyway almost perfect speaker!
I bought one and after a month it needed service. They couldn't fix it so I got a new one it the new one worked fine and it is easy to use the connect. The speaker has fantastic sound quality and I will recommend the speaker despite the service.
I did a bunch of comparison shopping, and no other speaker gives this combination of portability, price, waterproofing, sound quality, and battery life. On top of that, you can use the speaker to charge your USB device!!
