Bought as a Christmas gift for my fiance, who is a professional chef. He loves the design of the blade, the feel of the handle, and the great performance you expect from a Shun knife. He has been using this knife for work and is very happy with it.

Sharp as a razor. Really comfortable. I Changed the way that I use it instead of pushing down from the top traditionally …I now drag the blade through what I’m cutting. Craftsmanship is top notch.

Great knife, saya could be better

Knife feels great to use and sharpens like a dream, and is probably one of the most beautiful looking things I own, full stop. Unfortunately the saya had its thread and pin break off, which is disappointing considering the price point of these items. Other than that unfortunate issue this is a high quality and jaw dropping knife.
