Beautiful knife, great shape, metallurgy and manufacturing. Perfect balance, sharpness. Has become one of my go to knives and I have 15 or so Kikuichi, Tamahagane other Shuns.

I am not a professional cook - I just enjoy good tools for whatever I'm doing, and this is a wonderfully designed and built knife for my kitchen. It is a real pleasure to cut meat and vegetables with this kitchen knife. It is very, very sharp which makes it so effortless and comfortable to cut through everything I use in cooking. This is the best knife I've ever owned.

Bought one for me and another as a gift for a friend, Always wanted a great knife but was reluctant to spend the money, now that I have one I almost never use anything else in the knife drawer, should have done this years ago, it makes cooking such a pleasure

Razor sharp and is well balanced. Also a piece of art as the Damascus steel looks pleasing to the eye. I use it mainly for vegetables. I wish the sheath was a little more user friendly and fit the knife better.
