Totally disappointed! Knives have black come off on hands. Disgusting, even after put through the dishwasher. These are the silver steak knives set!!

Thank you for submitting your review on your Rada Steak Knives. We suggest handwashing all Rada knives to prevent any damage from occurring due to the harsh environment caused by a dishwasher’s high temperatures and abrasive detergents. However, our black handle knives are more tolerant in dishwashers than our silver handle knives.
To bring the finish back to your aluminum handle knives and utensils that may have gone through dishwasher cycles, we suggest using a mild cleanser called Bar Keeper’s Friend. Used with a green Scotch-Brite pad, this product will leave your handles smooth and light gray.

Knives cut. That’s their job and these do a very good job at that. That’s why I recommend them. But what people should know is that these are kind of small and light. And maybe that shouldn’t matter, but I expected something more substantial.

The steak knife set of 6 with the black handles where a surprise. They are plastic instead of the metal handles I’m use to buying, are they gonna hold up????

Thank you for your review. We have two types of handles, the hard resin for better dishwasher tolerance, and the permanently cast solid brushed aluminum with a satin finish hand wash only. You might want to try the aluminum handles on your next purchase. The hard resin handle does hold up as well with daily use.

I've bought Rada knives for almost 30 years and love them. I still have and use regularly my original knife purchases. I recently purchased more knives and utensils. I do wish Rada cutlery was dishwasher safe. In the past, I've put the knives in the dishwasher ---- the only issue I have is the discoloration and feel of the silver handles --- no apparent damage to the blades. Maybe Rada could come up with the same quality knife but totally dishwasher safe.
