These knives are fantastic! I love buying them as gifts and telling my friends and family about them. Yes the brushed aluminum knives discolor when you place them in the dishwasher but just use a Brillo pad on them and they shine right back up. Hand washing is best if you care about keeping the shine which is are given in the care instructions. I recommend them 100%!

Yes, hand washing is best but the Brillo pads help with the oxidation. There is also a product called Bar Keepers Friend that many people have good luck using as an aluminum polish.
