I like the knives but I don't like that the handles turn black after being washed in the dishwasher. I don't recall seeing anything saying not to put in dishwasher. I would like to return these if possible.

Hi Rebecca,
Thanks for contacting us.
Oxidation on aluminum handles is most often caused by the abrasive detergents, high temperatures used in a dishwasher, as well as if left in wet conditions. When oxidation occurs, aluminum may appear dull with a gray or black residue. This is merely a characteristic of aluminum and in no way affects the durability of the handle or the performance of the knife.
If your knives have suffered from oxidation, you can use a cleanser such as Bar Keepers Friend. Using this product as directed will help return knives to their pre-oxidized condition.
Hand washing all fine cutlery is recommended to protect your knives from corrosion and extend the life of their finish.

I came across these knifes on Food and Family by Karen Jones. She was always talking about them. So I bought two knives. One thing that got my attention is they are made in AMERICAN!!!! The knifes are pretty awesome like I like them nice and sharp. They are pretty much my go to knifes. Karen was right about everything she said about Rada knifes. Good quality, stay sharp and I love them.
I noticed that in the Paring Knives Galore Gift Set" only one knife (the little one) has the RADA USA logo and it seems to be the sharpest. Any comments on this?
I had my first set of knives for over 30 years and there was none better. However I felt I needed new paring knives and was disappointed. They don’t seem to be nearly as sharp as my old set
