I love the ac. It cools well and doesn't block the view out my window. The only problem is I keep getting the P1 code and have to drain it continuously. Is there something wrong with it or are they made that way?
The air conditioner displayed code P1 , after only 1 week of use it quit working
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We recommend resetting your air conditioner by disconnecting power from the unit for 2 - 3 minutes and reconnecting power. If this reset does not revert the unit back to normal operating function, we advise scheduling service to get this error code properly addressed. You can schedule an appointment with a Bodewell technician by calling 833-4BODEWELL (833-426-3393) or schedule online at https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm
We just installed our window AC and so far it has been working really good and is very quiet. This is actually our 2nd unit since we liked the 1st one we decided to purchase another one.
Excellent window AC that lets lots of light into the room. Very pleased with energy efficiency options and quiet mode. Install was easy and look 30 minutes. It's a great option if a mini-split or duct AC is not possible - I live in a small brick condo, so an efficient, easy to use window AC is a must.
The only drawback is vibrations the machine makes when cooling on high mode, otherwise I would rate as 5 stars.
